Ariadne's Garden of Spiritual Arts

Dimitra is a visionary artist and dance therapist, indicating toward a deeper experience of “self” by focusing on shadow work through the archetypes. After journeying to Earth's sacred sites and collaborating with public and private institutions to create transformative art, Dimitra curated Ariadne's Garden as a playground for those seeking to align body, mind, and spirit. Either as a retreat or as an artist residency, Ariadne’s Garden combines the Delphic “know thyself” with the simplicity of nature’s care. I was born in 1977 in Athens, and I am a theater studies scholar, graduate of the School of Theatrical Studies at the University of Patras. I have worked for a total of 16 years in theaters as a playwright and actress in adult and children's theater workshops in private and public schools and municipalities across Greece. These years I work in a private facility for people with disabilities. I love to create original works through improvisation. Together, we will explore the trajectory of the myth: how do Ariadne, Minotaur & Theseus as reflected in our own body, gaze, and speech.
