Chair yoga is generally referred to as yoga poses that have been modified to enable practitioners to practice while sitting down.
If you suffer from neurological diseases or have immobility problems, chair yoga is a good option for you. This type of yoga is also a good way to sneak in some yoga practice during those times where you’re stuck at the office!
Any sturdy chair is ideal for this practice. Due to my height, my legs don’t firmly touch the floor. If you, like me, are vertically challenged, place a block underneath your feet so that your feet comfortably touch the floor.
In this sequence, really focus on your breath and lengthening your spine.
If you have time, incorporate some breathing meditation to your practice as well. This sequence is particularly good to do during your lunch break as it relaxes your body and calms your mind.
Enjoy, and I’ll see you tomorrow!
