Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

As per your confirmed booking, our staff l will arrange either pick-up from the airport accommodation at Hotel Tradition and Spa. Rest and briefing about the program, followed by dinner and early rest overnight.

Day 2: Kathmandu - Pokhara

  • Morning yoga class
  • Breakfast and drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara for 6 hours. If there is traffic, it can be more hours.
  • Transfer to hotel rest one hour
  • Rest and preparation for trekking
  • Dinner
  • Overnight
  • Elevation: 1,527 meters / 5,010 feet

Day 3: Trekking from Nayapul trek to Tikhedhunga / Ulleri

  • Wake up and get fresh
  • Yoga and meditation
  • After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the Nayapul trek to Tikhedhunga / Ulleri
  • Dinner overnight at tea house

Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani

  • Wake up
  • Yoga and meditation
  • Breakfast
  • 08:30 Trek to Ghorepani walking through the village and jungle
  • 13:00 Lunch on the way, stay at tea house
  • 17:00 Rest for one hour and have tea and coffee
  • 18:30 - 19:30 Meditation
  • 20:00 Dinner
  • 21:30 Go to bed
  • Elevation: 2,775 meters / 9,104 feet

Day 5: Hiking to Poonhill

  • Hiking to Poonhill early in the morning to see the sunrise and mountain view. On a clear day, you have a panoramic view of 10 different peaks. Trek back to Ghorepani – after breakfast trek to Tadapani through the jungle for a nice walk. Overnight stay at tea house. Meditation evening and morning one hour as per above mention time
  • Elevation: 2,700 meters / 8,858 feet

Day 6: Trek down to Chomorong

  • Trek down to Chomoron – a beautiful Gurung Village or walk down to Jhinu (for a natural hot spring bath). Stay in Chomorong's tea house. The day includes one hour of evening and morning one hour of yoga and meditation.
  • Elevation: 2,060 meters / 6,759 feet

Day 7: Trek to Syaulibazzar - Pokhara

  • Trek to Syaulibazzar and then to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara by van or bus. Overnight at hotel. This day will be free time in the evening.

Day 8: Free Day in Pokhara

  • Enjoy one full day in Pokhara for optional sightseeing, boating of Fewa Lake, if you also can do paragliding, jeep flyer in an optional tour(evening 18:00; Joyti meditation), and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Back to Kathmandu

  • After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu
  • 18:00 - 19:00 Soft and relaxing massage therapy, using Ayurvedic oil to balance the doshas Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Massage starts with a dry warm-up massage for a few minutes to the whole body followed by oil massage from the feet upwards. You are recommended to take a shower before the massage so that the oil can remain on your body and fully absorb. Dinner and overnight.

Pranayama is a core yogic practice that involves the regulation and control of breath. It originates from the Sanskrit words.

Prana - Life force or vital energy

Ayama - Extension, expansion or control

So, Pranayama means expanding or controlling the life. It is considered a bridge between physical body and the mind - (mental and spiritual) and is one of the eight limbs of Ashtanga yoga as outlined by Patangali yoga sutra.

  • Anulom Vilom - Inhale breath through one nostril exhale through the other. Balances energy and reduces mental tension
  • Bhastrika - Bellows Breath - Technique - Slowly but forceful inhalation and exhalation using abdominal muscles. Effect:- Energizing remove toxins , Improve Oxygen flow
  • Kapalbhati - Technique- Passive inhale-forceful exhale through the nose - Effects - Detoxifies body. activates brain and digestive fire.
  • Bharamari (Humming Bee Breath - Inner Om chanting) Inhale deeply and exhale with humming sound like Bee.-- it makes Calms nervous system . helps insomnia and emotional tension.
  • Uijayi (Victorious Breath) slight constriction of the throat during slow, deep breathing - Builds heat helps focus during meditation and asanas .
  • Sheetali and Shitkari -Inhaling through a rolled tongue or through teeth and exhaling through nose- Cools body and mind reduces anger and stress.
  • Om Chanting - chanting start from Muladhar chakra continue to sahsradhar Chakra--Active all nervous system includes body and mind

Steps of Practicing Pranayama

  • Sit is a comfortable meditation posture --Padmasana or Sukhasana
  • Keep spine erect and eyes closed
  • Relax your body and bring attention to your natural breath
  • Begin with basic techniques like Anulom Vilom or Nadi Sodhana
  • Gradually increase the duration and intensity under guidance
  • Practice on an empty stomach and in well verified space.

Precautions

Always practice under the guidance of a train teacher if new

Avoid forceful breathing if high blood pressure heart disease or pregnancy

Start slowly and build gradually
