Vala House has a selection of beautiful rooms either ensuite or with shared amenities. The rooms are clean and comfortable and are serviced daily. Large rooms with balconies overlooking the expansive gardens are available. All rooms have either a queen or king-sized bed.

Instructeurs
Peter Townshend
Peter is the founder of Vala House and a registered 500RYT with Yoga Alliance. Peter teaches Classical yoga using the Vinyasa Krama system and Hatha yoga principles for all levels from beginners to advanced yogis. His teaching is rooted in both the lineage of Krishnamacharya and Swami Sivananda. His specific concentration is on yoga Nidra as taught by by Swami Satyananda Saraswati. Peter is also a registered RTT therapist, breathwork counsellor and life coach.
Retreat locatie
On the edge of the gorgeous Knysna forest, surrounded by rolling fields and dams, Vala House is nestled in one of the most picturesque parts of the Garden Route.
Two of South Africa’s most highly acclaimed beaches, Brenton-on-Sea and Buffels Baai, are only 25 minutes away, and you will often find yourself doing sunrise and sunset yoga on the beach.
The little town of Knysna is also only 25 minutes away, where you can catch a boat on the lagoon, visit local tourist attractions, and eat at the area’s famous restaurants.
A little further away, you will find gorgeous Plettenberg Bay, Birds of Eden, Knysna Elephant Sanctuary, zip-lining, bungy-jumping, and so much more.
