Alyson Simeone
Alyson Simeone (1990, Washington) Alyson teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa through the framework of bringing breath and movement into union. Her classes facilitate the somatic experience of grace, a state of harmony within the body-mind complex. Before Ashtanga, Alyson studied extensively classical piano and ballet, performing in both for over a decade. She received her Bachelor´s degree in Ayurvedic Medicine. Since then, her work has been devoted to the self practice and teaching of the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga.

First of all the Environment. The Houses, the yoga shala, the tent Place, the Mountains, all the birds and the cows Who came to visit almost everyday 😂 I felt immediately like home. Then the amazing food!! Oh my gosh. So good, so healthy, mainly Åsa and sometimes Allyson cooked, I will really miss that. 😭 The excursions with Manuel were also amazing. Hiking, going to caves, climbing, waterfalls, ocean, they have also surf equipment. Allyson and Simon are great teacher. I learned so much and not just about how I should teach, really for my life. We had great Meditations with Simon 😃good talks with Allyson about yoga philosophy. Adjustments with both of them. Great Anatomy class with Åsa. The yoga style is mainly Ashtanga. I can deeply recommend this yoga teacher training but also the “normal” yoga retreats. The two kids from Alyson and Simon are also so lovely. I spent there 4 weeks and I would do it again and I will definitely come back. I am not sure if I can explain how much this teacher training and the surrounding meant to me but yeah, Lots of love and Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bavanthu ❤️

I found myself
The food and and the amazing lectures. My whole thought process is changing for the better, I am think clearly and more positively. The food was so nourishing and clean, there was lots of it so we never went hungry!

Alyson and Simon were both knowledgeable, disciplined, and gentle teachers. I enjoyed every Mysore practice, workshop, meditation, and discourse. A lot of effort was put into making the experience special - throughout the month we were given various ‘surprises’, which I won’t divulge.
Simon took us on incredible adventures - I hadn’t really expected much as I’d signed up primarily for the yoga, but we were taken to the most tranquil, unspoilt places of natural beauty.
The whole thing was a wonderful way to deepen my practice.
Oh and the food was amazing - delicious vegan/vegetarian meals!!

Unforgettable memories and people
What I liked the most about my stay is how helpful, professional and friendly everyone was, the instructors were doing their best to make sure everyone was understanding the instructions, and helped us give our best, they were there if someone needed any specific help. The cabin where I was staying was cosy and clean. On the free days, we went to very nice places with the team and I really enjoyed it. I am very happy that I met them and will definitely go back there one day.

More than worth it!

An utterly transformative week
I had never visited Asturias and this was one reason for choosing this retreat. I was instantly stunned by the awe and beauty of The Picos de Europa: the perfect setting for meditation. Before starting the retreat, I did not really feel that Ashtanga was for me as the few classes I had attended always felt rushed and lacked the calm of Hatha. However, after 2 days of Simon's excellent instruction, I learned how deep and meditative it can be when practiced Mysore style. I was pleased with my physical progress but amazed by the psychological changes. It was incredibly uplifting and brought a new perspective to my world view.
The food was wonderful. It was so lovely to be able to eat the most delicious gluten-free vegetarian/vegan food without hassle and be inspired with new ideas.
Everybody involved in the retreat: Simon, Alyson, the hotel owners and the nutritionist and cook who prepared our lunch were all incredibly helpful and welcoming.
Our group was a nice mix of people from various parts of Europe and with the addition of the local team, it made for a great intercambio. It was a mixed ability group and we all took joy in each other's progress in the workshops.
The afternoon walks in the mountains and visit to a caves were mind-blowing. This retreat exceeded my expectations in every way and, all being well, I will return next year. I feel rejuvenated and revitalised.
This is not a spa retreat: if you put in the focus and effort you will reap the rewards.

Retiro perfecto para aprendre ashtanga y pasarlo bien
El retiro está bien planificado y organizado. Todas las actividades están muy bien pensadas para la práctica y el aprendizaje en pocos días de la modalidad Ashtanga. Las excursiones en bici impresionantes y a la medida de la forma física de los participantes. Todo se complementa muy bien y los profesores son muy profesionales, a la vez que exquisitos en el trato y la atención hacia los participantes.

Idyllischer Yogaschala mitten in den Bergen
Mir gefiel besonders, dass neben Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga auch Vipassana Meditation praktiziert wird und viele Outdooraktivitäten wie Klettern und Radfahren angeboten werden.

Fantastic and beautiful
I really enjoyed having time to focus on my practice, have learned so much in 5 days! The hosts are very experienced and knowledgeable teachers who were approachable and generous with their time. I had a lot of individual advice/adjustments during practice and workshops. I also learned more about the meditation and the philosophy of yoga, I feel more resilient in my day to day life since attending the retreat. As an added bonus the teachers have a real in depth knowledge of the local area which is full of beauty and wildlife, they did daily visits to mountains/caves/rivers all totally unspoiled- it was amazing. Being a meat eater I was worried about getting hungry on a vegetarian diet however the menu had been considered nutritionally for our activity levels. The food was delicious and filling, it was all home prepared and local, grown on sight or foraged. You get a lot for your money on this retreat.

Sehr autentisches Yogaseminar
Aly und Simon leiten angenehm, gekonnt, professionell durch die Yoga-Meditationsstunden. Die Gruppen sind sehr klein, und da beide anwesend sind, können Asanas gezeigt und gleichzeitig erklärt werden. Außerdem kortigieren sie individuell die Haltungen. Beide sind exzellent in den Asanas, und auch gute Lehrer. In den täglichen workshops werden Übungen gezeigt, die zu schwierigen Asanas hinführen. Mit ihrer Hilfestellung kann man Asanas selber erleben, die man allein nicht könnte.
Die Tage sind sehr ausgefüllt, wie es meiner Meinung nach in einem Retreat auch sein sollte. Am späten Nachmittag kleine Ausflüge.
Mir gefiel mein Zelt, es befindet sich ein pasr Meter entfernt vom Haus, mit schönem Blick, es ist bequem und wasserdicht. Ich fand es die passende Retreat-Unterkunft.
