Are you interested in knowing more about the classical roots of yoga? Beyond the cultural appropriation that yoga has been exposed to? Which has made you believe that yoga mainly is about physical postures or wellness? The goal of yoga is samadhi which means that you still have the mind and experience your bliss nature (Sat Chit Ananda).
In this course, you’ll be dedicating your time to using techniques of Hatha and classical Kundalini yoga as well as Tantra philosophy (not Neo-Tantra) which means you will spend a lot of time in meditation using simple tools of traditional Tantra in order to reprogram your mental patterns.
Concretely, you are using tools like mantra, pranayama, yantra, mudra, visualization, and of course, do asana work in Hatha style combined with Pranayama which will enhance the parasympathetic nervous system. The asana work is also designed to release tensions stored in the muscle tissue.
During the retreat, you meet in the morning before the sun gets too warm, and do some asana work. With inspiration from Ashtanga and Hatha yoga, you slowly work your way through the chakras, preparing the body to be more supple and receptive. You end the session with mindful pranayama (breathing exercises), mudras, or gestures to focus on specific areas, and last but not least have deep rest in Shavasana or The Corpse Pose. The morning session is 1.5 hours.
In the late afternoon, you meet again and continue with Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga, dive deeper into the eight limbs of Ashtanga yoga according to Patanjali's Yoga Sutra, namely Pranayama (breathing exercise), Pratyahara and Dharana, Dhyana (calming the senses, focusing on a single object and concentration) with the help of visualization and mantra.
You will end the session with meditation and eventually yoga Nidra (deep guided rest. The total you will practice is about 1.5 hours.
Chakra or Tantra or Kundalini yoga (the classical, not sex Tantra or Neo-Tantra) are forms of yoga that aim at the awakening of the consciousness. This is done by using ancient tantric techniques like a mantra, mudra, yantra, and chanting.
Please notice that they are not trying to wake up the Kundalini energy with any forceful techniques. They only provide you with tools to work further when back at home.

Zazenda House is situated very close to the Croatian border. It is easy to visit the medieval city of Dubrovnik, which is on the UNESCO Cultural Heritage list. Very close by is also Konavle, an interesting historical site with mills, a medieval laundry, and a small castle.
The medieval city of Kotor (also on the UNESCO list) in the center of the bay can be reached by car in one hour. It is located along the shores of the beautiful bay of Kotor, which features many charming old villages, the most famous being Perast.
Another charming village, Donji Stoliv on the opposite side of the bay, is the starting point of some great hikes. The old Roman stone path takes you to the abandoned village of Gornji Stoliv and its old stone churches and spectacular views over the bay. Here you can embark on several nice hikes, you can buy sheep and goat cheese from the local farmers in Gornja Lastva, and at the end of the day arrive in the city of Tivat on the other side of the ridge.
There are many national parks worth visiting. Durmitor, Lovcen, Prokletije, Biogradska Gora and Lake Skadar. These you reach either by car or by organized tours. Many skiing resorts are close by if you decide to come during the winter season. Montenegro is a small country and to visit the adventure park of Lovcen or Mount Durmitor National Park, for example, would take you only one day.
They recommend that you book a few days longer accommodation if you are interested in seeing more of this small country filled with natural treasures.
There are several luxury hotels nearby providing you with spa facilities.
The Lazure Hotel and Marina, only in Porto Novi, and Palmon Bay Hotel and Spa in Igalo.
