You will be accommodated in a traditional farmhouse in Santa Maria al Monte, Forio d'Ischia, to the slopes of the inactive volcano Epomeo. La Posta di Tagliavento, so the last hunters of the island call this old farm house.

The structure is entirely made from Tufo, green or yellow colored volcanic rock typical of the Bay of Naples. These stones were originally dug to collect water, in fact, many people call the "water stone". With time, they have become refuge places used by the islanders against attacks of the Ottoman Turks, and later houses, the typical constructions of the rural houses of Forio d'Ischia.

Surrounded by a private wood, la Posta di Tagliavento was restored by the owner, Valeria, who kept intact the original, traditional structure. The house has eight bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, two bathrooms, and a large terrace which extends to the beautiful sea of the island where the sun goes down directly.
