Zita has a 35-year teaching experience within the fitness industry and began teaching yoga full time in 2006. Zita achieved yoga Siromani in 2012 and more recently, was blessed with the distinction of yoga Acharya, master of yoga, justifiably reflecting her knowledge and passion for yoga. By limiting group sizes to a maximum of six persons, Zita is able to guide yoga enthusiasts of all levels, from beginner to advanced, in extending their own personal journey towards their goals and aspirations.

    It was interesting to learn more about the Yoga lifestyle without it being forced upon me. I really liked the variety of activities and getting to know the other guests.

    I didn’t feel there were any negatives but from my point of view, i should have taken coffee with me.

    Zita runs her retreat from home which seems to be built for the purpose. There is a lot of privacy, yet cosiness creates an amazing atmosphere. Vegetarian food (freshly cooked) is prepared with attention, care and imagination. Please bear in mind that Zita does not offer coffee or black tea, but has a huge selection of herbal teas and healthy snacks throughout the day. If daily cuppa is a must then take some with you :). However, I would suggest trying to survive without caffeine and see how far you can go without. Zita's retreats are in small groups (up to 6), so her attention to you during yoga sessions is almost undivided. Her house is situated in a beautiful Yorkshire countryside and rooms have views of the pond. Tranquility and peace. And quite challenging yoga classes. Absolutely loved it!

    I always find something that I am not 100% happy with ;), but not this time. Lack of coffee was quickly substituted with coffee addiction stories that kept us laughing until departure.

    Location is perfectly peaceful, lovely garden. I fully enjoyed freshly prepared vegetarian satvic food and the family atmosphere.

    Zita' retreat is in the perfect location with loads of space to practise indoors or outdoors in her beautiful garden. The yoga practice was great - Zita was so helpful - and I loved the spiritual side far more than I expected to. Food was lovely and plentiful and the others on the course were friendly and fun.

    There was nothing I didn't like.

    Great place to go and relax, a perfect spot. Learned a lot about yoga, physically and spiritually. Enjoyed meeting new people. Good books and food, fantastic view of a lake, with lots of wildlife. Very relaxing.

    It was a very good combination of yoga, meditation, relaxation, good food, learning, walks outside, rest and everything. Zita was very nice and knowledgeable and it felt all really personal. The house and the location is wonderful!

    The overall experience was absolutely refreshing. Zita's passion for yoga and her love for her guests makes her the perfect hostess! The yoga sessions were very stimulating, the mindful walks and meditation sessions were exceptionally relaxing and the food was fresh and delicious. I'd highly recommend this to everyone!

    Very few yoga teachers are able to blend the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga into a single weekend and still make it fun and relevant for a mixed group of yogis. Zita has that skill and led a brilliantly relaxing retreat in the North Yorkshire countryside. Recommended!

    Had a fantastic time at Zita Fitness. Went with my daughter who had done a little bit of yoga and I was a complete novice. Zita was a fantastic teacher and very patient. Accommodation was first rate with lovely rooms. Full programme with lots of yoga, workshops and assisting with preparing the delicious vegetarian meals. If you only ever get the chance to go on one yoga retreat in your life then this should be the one! Would highly recommend it and would certainly make a return visit.

    My experience with Zita Fitness was amazing. Zita was very welcoming and the experience began as soon as we entered the door. The Yoga studio we practiced in was perfect and everything was provided to enable us to practice. The instruction from Zita was tailored to our individual needs and I truly felt I was being taught by a Master and because of that my practice has developed. Our accommodation was perfect and we were made to feel at home and experience a truly Yogic way of being. Zita is the perfect teacher if you want to really learn about Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation.
