The Wild Times is all about creating magical, memorable experiences in nature - a chance to deeply relax, explore, get grounded and rewild.

The Wild Times Founder Jen would love for you to join her on this weekend in the Lake District. She believes in the healing power of nature; that we could all do with more time spent in it, as well as more time to slow down and deeply rest. She also believes in the power of exploration, adventure, trying new things, and pushing yourself (just a little bit!) outside of your comfort zone. She hopes these Wild Times long weekends offer you plenty of both and leave you well-rested, soul-nourished, and a little bit wilder.

The 16th-century cottage overlooks Rydal Water, it is located right in the heart of the Lake District. You can walk straight out and up mountains behind, or hop across the road into the lake for a wild swim.

Some of the great things include a sauna, lake views, a separate yoga barn with a log burner, a piano, a fire pit outside, and cozy nooks to read in.

The rooms will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. They are twin or double (mostly en-suite) bedrooms, individually furnished, warm and cozy. The rooms at the front overlook the lake and those at the back are quieter with views up to Nab Scar.

Your weekend activities

Yoga and meditation

There will be four one to one-hour-and-a-half yoga sessions, including Vinyasa, Yin, and yoga Nidra with options for all levels of yogi. There will be daily guided meditations as well.

Watersports

Stand up paddleboard sessions and SUP yoga too if you fancy it! Lake swimming is positively encouraged and extremely invigorating.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just finding your sea legs you are very welcome to the paddle boarding session. We just ask that you can swim 50 meters.

Walking

An optional mountain walk with a picnic lunch, or if you’d like to relax instead please do.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

The best way to reach the cottage is either by car or train. The nearest train station is Windermere. From London Euston, the train takes 3.5 hours. (Top tip: if three or more of you are coming on the same train, you can get the ‘group saver’ discount which is a ⅓ off each!) The cottage is 15 minutes away from the station, jump in a taxi straight to the cottage.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 43% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 16 days before arrival.
