Picture beautiful geodesic domes in a wild meadow, on a hilltop overlooking the sea, just on the border between Devon and Cornwall. You have exclusive use of this eco-friendly site with solar-powered showers, compostable toilets, and a shared kitchen camp dome.
Each luxury geodome has been lovingly furnished using natural and recycled materials. Plants adorn the interior, bringing the calmness of mother nature within. Cozy up by your personal fire pit or barbecue and watch the boats float across the glorious bay. By night, stargaze from the comfort of your 'proper' bed. There is a communal dome purely for cooking and socializing, two hot water showers, and two compost toilets. Additional flushing toilets are a five-minute walk away, near the old barracks which also contains the yoga studio space.
This holiday is for anyone over the age of 18, who wants to rewild and relax. Whether you are a seasoned pro or just finding your paddleboard or yogi legs, you are very welcome. You just need to be able to swim 50 meters. Yoga will be outside or in the private yoga studio, just a three-minute walk away. There will be big brunches, picnic lunches, and pub dinners. Walks from the site take you down into Kingsand or Cawsand, two beautiful old smuggling villages, where you can find great pubs, pasties, beaches, and where you will be paddleboarding.
Settle into your dome and explore the site, before your opening circle and meditation. There will be a surprise workshop with one of their favorite Wild Times collaborators, paddleboarding down around the cove on the sea, coastal path walks in this area of outstanding natural beauty, and even a trip to the pub. Mornings will bring meditation and dynamic Vinyasa yoga. Evenings will include Yin and Yoga Nidra to nourish you and help you learn how to slow down and properly rest. There will be plenty of free time for relaxing, exploring, and simply enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
The schedule is subject to change or going with the flow. Do as much or as little as you like.
A 350-hour yoga teacher, Jenny has been teaching Vinyasa, Yin, Power, and yoga Nidra in person and online for corporates, privates, studio events, retreats in the UK and Morocco. She’s also a qualified BSUPTA paddleboard instructor and loves teaching SUP yoga. Her goal is to make yoga accessible and fun with a strong emphasis on doing whatever feels good in your body, as no one knows your body better than you do.
The lovely location is tucked away on the Rame Peninsula, which is often called the forgotten corner of Cornwall as it is tucked away down on the south coast past Plymouth and less touristy than a lot of the south-west, in the UK. The neighboring villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are set in a picturesque old seaside cove, full of stories of smugglers, a few great old pubs (some right on the water's edge), beaches, and plenty of places where you can buy a pasty. Your domes are set up on top of Zen with Jen's private wildflower meadow, just a 20-minute walk away from the villages. The domes look straight out onto the sea.
There is a special type of calm in this little corner of the country that is hard to find and special when you find it. A few minutes' walk from the site takes you to the old barracks, now home to the yoga studio, an eclectic mix of artist and music studios, and the wonderful Maker Canteen cafe (which is run by an ex river cottage chef and does out-of-this-world brunches).
You will be served daily brunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks (apart from the Saturday night pub dinner) included in the price. All the food will be nourishing belly timber. Friday night will be a welcome chill by the fire pit. Saturday and Sunday will include buffet brunches for everyone to enjoy after yoga and picnic lunches so you can go and explore if you like.
Saturday night will be an optional pub dinner down the hill in the village, or alternatively, you can cook in the communal tent or even get pizza. There will be a hot drink station for you to help yourself throughout with herbal teas, coffee, fresh mint, lemon, and ginger, and fruit and snacks available. Zen with Jen can cater to dietary requirements if you let them know beforehand.
