Excellent food! The yoga was great for starting the day and unwinding in the evening. It focused on balancing poses - which was great for the surf!

“Amaaaazing place and best surf camp ever seen”

We just spent an amazing week at Zen Surf Camp! We had everything our heart could desire. From delicious local biological food such as vegetable couscous, meat and fish tagines and grammy Moroccan-Italian fusion desserts to great surf with waves of all sizes, relaxing yoga, the most beautiful sunsets ever seen from your seafront terrace as well as enriching exchanges with the friendly local people. Thank you so much, Leila and the Zen Team for your constant care, great organization, lovely chats and for making our stay unforgettable! We are already looking forward to coming again next year!

"Bijou"

I spent a week of surfing, yoga and enjoying casa zen and the surroundings. it was exactly what i was looking for! peace, tranquillity, a safe and "home" feeling guest house. The team at casa zen made every effort to make me feel at home. Very kind warm hearted owners, great house, clean, yummy traditional tajine food (even made sure the vegetarians and non-gluten guests had enough to eat). I also met wonderful people/other guests.

Surfing and yoga were great fun, good surf teachers, everyone spoke perfect English.

I really enjoyed it on the whole! thank you casa zen!!

The surf house is a villa at Banana Beach, the shared facilities (for two group rooms one of which I had on my own) were clean and the overall appearance of the place is really neat. What was really outstanding was the local food prepared by a Moroccan cook, tajines and couscous, and - vegan - pancakes with amlou, I will certainly continue to eat that home in Paris in good memories. Nicolas and Tamara are welcoming and friendly, they would help us with everything we needed. Yet there is none of the usual pretentious "hangin' out at the surf camp" attitude.

“Relaxing stay at the end of the season”

I honestly had a very, very good week here. In mid May I somewhat hit the end of the season so we were only few people at the surf house and the surf guiding was for the three to four of us and highly enjoyable. We all brought some experience and made considerable progress during the few days we surfed. The waves - beach next to Devil's Rock - were mostly surfable for at least a few hours and the coach helped us find good times and breaks. The "Moroccan whiskey" mint tea was a local feature on the beach although the vendors can become slightly annoying after a while.

“Exactly what I hoped for: welcoming, relaxing and fun”

I spent a week at Zen Surf as a solo traveller in April 2016 and it was exactly what I'd hoped it would be: easy, relaxing, fun, active and full of lovely people. I shared a room with another guest for the first three nights - someone who I've stayed in contact with every since - and for the rest of my stay had one of the caravans. The shared rooms are quite small but you're so tired after a day of sun and surf that even a snoring companion isn't a problem! The caravan was the most romantic and idyllic place to stay - it felt very luxurious. The tagines each evening are wonderful, the food got better and better each day. And the owners and staff are lovely, very relaxed and very helpful. Yoga on the roof terrace very evening was the perfect way to stretch out after surfing and I really noticed an improvement in my ability over the week, helped I'm sure by the surf - the two activities really complement each other. The surrounding area is very calm and interesting - a taste of rural/small town Morocco rather than heavy tourism; I felt very welcome wandering around the local village on my own and two of us walking back to the house late at night felt completely safe. For a beginner, the surfing instruction was great and I really welcomed the daily setup - surfing all morning and collapsing on the beach with lunch and a book once I was tired. As the week went on we all found we had more energy and would surf all afternoon too. I came to Zen Surf on the recommendation of a colleague, and have since recommended it to several more people. I would have no doubts about going back.
