Zen Den Yoga School and Retreats provides the yogi and yogini with a safe and nurturing environment to grow and practice the yoga lifestyle. Zen Den Yoga School is not your average yoga retreat. In all of the yoga teacher training programs and yoga retreats, Zen Den Yoga School adheres to the true meaning of the word yoga: to yolk or bring together.
Zen Den Yoga School's belief is that all yoga systems are on the same path, therefore, they embody many traditions of yoga, honoring the diversity of our gurus. Zen Den Yoga School and Retreats facilitates various forms of yoga including Ashtanga- inspired Vinyassa, the true Sivananda, Hatha, Restorative, and other traditions.
The school offers an on-going 200-hour yoga teacher training program, and a 300-hour program for people interested in a 500-hour training. Zen Den Yoga School warmly invites you come and enjoy a retreat or training with their highly educated and experienced facilitators.
Zen Den Yoga School and Retreats offers you a great experience to relax with plenty of beautiful scenery and activities to explore nearby. You will have access to Wi-Fi, and a state of the art kitchen with Vita Mix and Juicer during your retreat. Bicycles will be provided so guests can explore nearby attractions.
During your stay in Boca, the beach city is surrounded by tropical scenery, and beautiful homes. Guests can recharge in a private or shared room, or enjoy a welcoming space to meditate, study, or socialize with other guests.
If you are on a program where sharing is possible and you would like to share a twin-bedded room with another single traveler of the same gender, Zen Den Yoga School will match you with a roommate. Otherwise, a single supplemental fee applies for a private room.
Welcome to Zen Den Yoga School & Wellness Retreats
You start your day with a nutritionally balanced, alkalizing green shake for breakfast between 7:00 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. (We will teach you how to make it on day 1 so you are empowered to gain healthy lifestyle skills to take home with you.)
Meditation daily (8 a.m.) every day except Wednesdays and Thursdays (arrive 5-10 minutes early to set yourself up and please note doors shut at 8 a.m. so be mindful to the others in the group).
This meditation time can be adjusted for you only when there is no yoga school in session) let us know if you would like to do private instruction on this topic.
Shamanic Breath-work Journey is Wednesday mornings at 7:45 a.m. (unless otherwise specified), and replaces meditation. First timers we advise to relax afterwards and skip doing Hatha yoga flow.
Sunrise Beach Meditation is Thursday mornings - (time is based on the sun). We drive there together. Bring a beach towel. Bathing suit is optional.
8:45 - 9:45 a.m. Sivananda Hatha Flow or Gentle Chakra Hatha Flow (except Saturday unless it's raining, see 9 a.m. outdoor Vinyasa).
9:00 a.m. Saturdays - outdoor Vinyasa in Sanborn Square with our friends at Yoga Journey (unless it's raining)
10 a.m. snack on rest of morning green drink.
12:00 p.m. Lunch nutritionally balanced and complete protein shake.
3:30 p.m. Ashtanga-inspired Vinyasa Flow week days (timing subject to change, based on our yoga teacher training students.)
5:00 p.m. snack, post-Vinyasa class snack on rest of fruit, and protein drink.
Evenings are for rest and relaxation. Please feel free to use our hot tub.
Evening classes are slower with relaxing music. Some evenings have a workshops happening from our amazing conscious community. (Subject to change)
Depending on your arrival and departure times, we'll have acupuncture scheduled for you on your first day (or second), and massage is scheduled on your second to last day. These are scheduled in advance both are in the late morning between 11 a.m. and 12:30pm, (this will vary slightly based on our therapist's availability, so it may shift 30-60 minutes).
Ira started to practice yoga consciously in 2007. He says consciously because, after getting his 200-hour certification, he realized there were many parts of yoga besides the physical practice. These other paths of yoga (pranayama, meditation, and positive thought), he had already been practicing from the time he was a little boy. This inward feeling of something larger than himself was always present through his years as an entrepreneur, teacher, consultant, and individual being.
Valerie Leeds is a dynamic wellness entrepreneur. She has been teaching how to access your potential in mind, body, and spirit for over two decades. Certified as a Bodywork & Energy Therapist, Certified Nutritional Health Coach, and RYT 500-hr, she co-owns and facilitates Zen Den Yoga School and Retreats in Boca Raton, Florida. Valerie has carefully cultivated a set of tools based on the premise that human potential is limited by our belief systems. She brings a fresh look at how your mind and consciousness can be adapted on a moment to moment basis to live life in greater mastery.

Dinners you are on your own and there are a few options. Guests sometimes opt to cook in a state of the art kitchen with Vitamix and Juicer (students almost always do), and there are excellent grocery stores within walking distance. If you prefer, there are also plenty highly recommended multi-cultural cuisine restaurants to choose from within walking and biking distance.
