You can choose from a private or shared standard or deluxe ocean-view room. Please note that unless you explicitly book a private room you will be in shared accommodation with one other person. If you are traveling with a friend or partner, they will put you in a room together. Otherwise, you will be paired with another retreat participant.

All of the rooms have polished travertine floors, pillow-top mattresses with 300 thread-count organic sheets, beautiful, custom-crafted teak, and rattan furniture, and travertine bathrooms with organic bath towels. They all also have views of the ocean and the gardens.

In their 16 spacious, luxurious guest rooms and suites, with their clean lines and understated elegance, you will drift off into a deep sleep listening to the sound of the crashing waves as they break on the beach.

In this retreat, you can curate your own perfect week, choosing from daily yoga and meditation classes, silent sunrise walks on the beach, as well as adventure activities like surfing or horseback riding. There is no minimum yoga experience required, and the retreat is suitable for everybody, beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

The approach to the week blends carefully crafted group activities with plenty of personal space and freedom. If you are looking for a terrific vacation, you will definitely get that. There will be incredible food and amazing company. And if you want to take things to the next level, the high-quality yoga, meditation, discussions, and reflections set the scene for a week of genuine transformation and empowerment.

This retreat will be held at Prana del Mar, a beachfront yoga retreat center located near the southern tip of the Baja peninsula, just north of Cabo San Lucas. It is about 15 minutes outside of town on a remote stretch of beach on the Pacific Ocean, well away from the beaten path. With mountains to the east, the Pacific to the west, and desert all around, they are comfortably nestled in a tranquil valley that provides an ideal setting for rest, relaxation, rejuvenation, and exploration.

In this retreat, you will be served three delicious, nutritious meals each day. Fresh, delicious, healthful, and often organic cuisine will delight you in their casually elegant dining room. The chefs prepare fine Mexican and international recipes using the freshest ingredients available, including sourcing numerous vegetables, lettuces and herbs from their organic garden.

You can have breakfast in the morning sun on the east balconies gazing out at the mountains and then shift to the west for lunch to watch the ocean waves roll in at the point. On dinner, enjoy the inside with views in both directions and, after your meal, retire to the couches around the fireplace for a digestif with friends to close the evening.

Most of the meals are vegetarian, rich in both flavor and nutrients, and they also offer fresh fish and seafood several times per week. They take special care to be sensitive to their guests’ dietary restrictions so if you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, have food allergies, etc. the chefs will do an exceptional job of accommodating your preferences.

If you are the active type, then Prana del Mar offers plenty of options to keep you moving. Aside from yoga, you may try surfing, horseback riding down the beach, or a trip out on the water to watch the whales breach. You will find myriad ways to fill your days.

Cooking class

At Prana del Mar, they pride themselves on preparing fresh, healthful cuisine that nourishes the guests and complements their mindful practices. Due to popular demand, chef Daniel offers a weekly cooking class where you will learn to make a few of his favorite recipes, simple options that you can easily prepare at home.

Hiking

Prana Del Mar teams with a local outfitter who will take you on a cliff hike near Pescadero or up a canyon in the Sierra for a half-day excursion that will give you a more formal introduction to the Baja landscape. Your bilingual guide will point out the wide variety of flora and fauna that thrive in the desert and along the coast, and also include interesting information on local geologic and cultural history.

Horseback riding

This relaxing excursion starts at a small ranch that is one of the Prana Del Mar's neighbors just down the beach. They will pick you up, introduce you to your horse, and give you a short explanation outlining basic safety. Your guide will then lead you along the shoreline, over the dunes, and up a hilltop for a vista overlooking the Pacific.

Kayak and snorkel tour

Prana Del Mar partners with an outfitter who will take you on a three bay kayaking and snorkeling tour on the Sea of Cortez side of the peninsula to paddle the coast and dip under the surface to get a glimpse of a variety of fish, urchins, anemones, and more.

Local towns

From the quaint and artistic Todos Santos, to vibrant and festive Cabo San Lucas, to a blend of both artistic and festive San Jose del Cabo, it is all in your choice.

Sea turtle hatching

These adorable baby turtles, which fit easily in the palm of your hand, will charm you with their tiny features and dogged determination. You will cheer as they scramble toward the water’s edge and one by one get carried off by the waves lapping at the shoreline.

Surfing

Whether you are an old pro or just learning, Prana Del Mar can find a surf break that will fit your needs. There are over a dozen different surf spots within a one-hour radius of Prana del Mar, many that pick up swells all year long. From the winter surf on the Pacific side to the southern swell that hits both the Pacific and Sea of Cortez coastlines, they will help you find the break that best suits your abilities and comfort level.

Whale watching

For a closer view, Prana Del Mar offers the opportunity to take a tour from the Cabo marina out past the world-famous Cabo Arch to get a better look at the humpbacks as well as the occasional gray whale. You will head out in a small, agile boat that is great for whale watching because it can quickly dart toward whale spouts spotted in the distance.

"Your Yoga is the most welcoming studio I've been to around campus. In addition to the outstanding instructors, there is a great atmosphere enhanced with space to move, candles, greenery, and energizing music."

"I find myself reflecting often on the retreat, especially now, when I'm feeling some of the "winter blues" on this gray February day. I often remind myself it's ok to "pull" instead of "push", and that every breath is a fresh opportunity to begin again. Thank you all for an experience I will not forget and that I'm so glad I got to be a part of."

"Wonderful spot to bend and stretch with your inner Zen. I have been a member of Your Yoga for over a year and am grateful to be part of their community. They all do a great job demonstrating and explaining the poses. Each instructor all seemed to figure out right away where I was in my practice and have continued to help me adjust my poses accordingly and refine my practice further. The studio provides a good mix of physicality and spirituality. Thank you Your Yoga!"

"Very welcoming, laid back and affordable. Like, super affordable. People who go to this studio don't judge you because you wear your PJs to yoga or don't have whatever fancy mat is fashionable right now. All of the teachers have their own unique style of teaching; most of whom approach yoga from a fun (not deathly serious) perspective. I will cry if I ever move away because then I would not be able to go to this studio anymore."

Your Yoga lives up to its name-- whether you are a beginner trying to learn the fundamentals or an advanced student, the practice is truly yours at this studio. Phenomenal teachers + an inviting and open space, I highly recommend Your Yoga!"
