The Yorkshire Centre for Wellbeing is Harrogate's premier Pilates and yoga studio with free onsite parking. During the retreat, you will be staying in the hosts' own large, spacious, and comfortable Victorian home, which is in one of the most prestigious areas in the conservation area of Duchy Road in Harrogate, only a five-minute walk from the renowned Valley Gardens and a 10-minute walk into Harrogate.

There are three large shared rooms that can accommodate up to three people (but usually only two people per room) and two single rooms on site, plus a heated garden room. There is also a single space that is screened from the main living space, and another single room just off-site with its own ensuite bathroom.

There is a large dining room, two lounges, a large designer kitchen and living area, a luxury treatment room with its own lounge consultation area, and a café bar or reception area that can also be used as a second yoga studio. There are also spacious mature gardens, with a pond and water feature, a garden swing, and ample seating for guests to relax and enjoy.

Program

Start the New Year with renewed health and vigor as you set your intentions for the New Year for your higher good. Ayurveda teaches the art of finding balance and harmony within your environment. In the retreat, the wisdom of Ayurveda, yoga, and meditation is shared with you so you can learn to adapt your lifestyles to be as healthy, harmonious, and balanced as possible.

Day 1 

  • 16:00 - 16:15 Arrivals may be earlier if you have a treatment booked, and welcome
  • 17:00 Meditation 
  • 17:45 Hatha flow class 
  • 19:00 Dinner

Day 2

  • 07:30 - 08:00 Opportunity to learn Neti – nasal cleansing
  • 08:00 - 10:00 Meditation followed by Hatha flow class
  • 10:00 - 11:15 Brunch
  • 11:15 - 13:00 Ayurvedic seminar 
  • 13:00 - 16:30 Free time or an option for therapy
  • 16:30 - 18:00 Meditation, Restorative yoga, and yoga Nidra
  • 18.30 Dinner
  • 19:30 Social time

Day 3 

  • 08:00 -10:00 Meditation followed by Hatha flow class
  • 10:00 -11:15 Breakfast
  • 11:15 Workshops in learning the basics of Abhyanga, an Ayurvedic massage
  • 12:00 - 12:30 Cooking lesson - Kichari with James 
  • 13:00 - 14:00 Free time or an option for therapy
  • 14:00 - 15:00 Lunch
