Tantra yoga is all about growth and expansion to your full potential! Learn to experience Tantra in everyday life by awakening, balancing, and nourishing the inner Shiva and Shakti (polarities). From a space of inner union, you can live in harmony and deal with life’s challenges in a creative (not destructive) and wise way.
Tantra teaches how to be open to unconditional love by reaching that state of being ,where, there is no more inner conflict. The dualistic perception vanishes when one sees that, actually, everything is in union with everything. By surrendering to that truth, you become the intuitive, compassionate, loving, and authentic version of yourself.
The ancient traditions of Tantra yoga, Taoism, Buddhism, and Chinese Medicine offer an incredibly wide range of techniques to awaken and rise to your full potential by balancing the opposites within: Shiva- Shakti, Yin-Yang, Solar-Lunar, the Warrior-the Queen , Fire-Water etc...You will explore Tibetan meditations, Tantric kriya, Pranayama, Guided Meditations, Kundalini Yoga, Qigong, Chakra balancing, Sound Healing Baths, Ceremonies, and holistic treatments (not included).
Tantra yoga means "union." It is the union of the separated self from his authentic nature - wholeness and oneness. It is the union between the female and the male energy. It is the union of polarities inside and outside of yourself.
Tantra is the union between the spirit and the heart, between the "I" and the "we," and the "me" and the "others." It is the communion with yourself and your surroundings that leads you back to your core, your essence.
By surrendering to that truth, you become the intuitive and authentic version of yourself. Your body is your home, your temple. How you treat it is a reflection of how you treat yourself and others. It mirrors how you relate in general, as well as how you perceive love, respect, and trust.
The essence of life is to be in a union - in love, healthy, and happy. There is a deep, absolute, and indestructible interconnection between you, as living beings (microcosm), and the existence around you (macrocosm).
This connection is usually lost or not nourished enough, so life, instead of being a celebration, becomes a conflict, a challenge, and an effort, and that state usually leads to an unhappy and unhealthy life. Only by restoring this connection can you reach peace.
"Τao is the law of nature behind all of creation. Those who harmonize with it will be at peace with existence.”
''The way,'' as it is called, tao means the appropriate way to live your life in peace, in serenity, and in harmony with the life force of the universe. Surrendering to life, life will teach you.
Katerina has led retreats for the last 15 years, and before she was working in private sessions as a yoga / clinical Pilates teacher and therapist. She is combining Chinese-yoga-Tao-Buddhism traditions, without belonging exclusively to any path. She is experiencing and exploring all that her inner wisdom recognizes as relevant, according to what is true and authentic to her heart, wishing to share and spread by being in service. ''Holding space for others’’ is what is nourishing her soul. Her vision is to create a ground for others to experience healing and freedom in order to blossom.
Amongst the Greek Aegean Islands, Ikaria presents an unparalleled abundance and diversity of unspoiled natural beauty. Civilization and development on Ikaria continue to coexist with the island's environmental wealth and agricultural tradition. For thousands of years visitors have come to Ikaria to rejuvenate themselves and relax amidst the high mountains, clean air and water, organic local products, brilliant sunshine and majestic surroundings. Ikaria has been named one of the world's five BlueZones, and the notoriously long-lived and healthy Ikarians are proof of the island's healthy and therapeutic qualities derived from its natural environment.
CNN has named Ikaria "The Best Greek Island for Nature Lovers", and for good reason. Ikaria exhibits a unique biodiversity rare to most Greek Islands. On Island Ikaria are located some of the most significant natural habitats in the entire Aegean Sea.
Ikaria's landscapes are pristine, stunningly beautiful, exotic & wild, and full of contrasts. The island has an extensive mountainous topography, there are green slopes juxtaposing with rugged rocks, high mountain streams, small lakes & waterfalls, fresh water lagoons, hot mineral springs, pine & ancient oak forests, canyons, gorges, caves, boulder deserts, high altitude plateaus and lush valleys. In general the island supports a rare combination of terrains and ecosystems, both on land and in the sea. Ikaria is a nature lover's paradise waiting to be discovered..
The island's 255 km of coastline display an incredible range of scenery and unique seascapes. Unlike many of the neighboring islands, Ikaria's shores have remained in their natural state, the earthly beauty that has existed for thousands of years. Along the perimeter of the island there are small secluded coastal villages, quiet beaches, hidden coves, caves, therapeutic hot mineral springs flowing into the sea and mystifying rock formations to be explored and enjoyed.

Arrival by airplane
Please book your flight to arrive at Ikaria Island National Airport (JIK). Transfers from this airport are included in the price. Ikaria has a small airport but it's not big enough to accommodate large charter flights, so to get there you should fly to Samos or Mykonos or Paros or Naxos and then fly to Ikaria or take a ferry to Ikaria.
There are regular ferries to Ikaria from Piraeus (Athens port) with a journey time of about 8 hours. Or you can fly to nearby islands: Samos, Mykonos, Syros, Naxos, Paros, and then take the ferry connections to Ikaria. There are also high-speed flying dolphins from Samos to Ikaria, and these take 60-90 minutes. Make sure you know which port you want as there are three ports on Samos which connect with two different ports on Ikaria.
Ferries in Greece has an excellent and very thorough website where, in addition to checking ferry schedules and times, you can also book tickets and get lots of useful information about travelling by ferry in Greece
