    La Loma Linda Bungalows is the boutique hotel where you will be staying during your retreat. There are many room options, all of them with a view and some of them with a view of the sea.

    Choza bungalow

    Choza is a small, cozy bungalow, ideal for one person but also fine for a couple with one double bed. From your bed, you can watch a spectacular sunrise and for the sunset, you can sit in your hammock under a tree or join the rest of the group a few steps up at a wonderful sunset spot. This bungalow has a queen-size bed and a fan.

    Colibrí bungalow

    El Colibrí is located above El Mar bungalow and has the same amenities as Sol and Luna but it is equipped with ecological compost toilets and has no loft. You can enjoy the view from its terrace. This bungalow has a king-size bed and an individual bed, a fan, and a small refrigerator.

    Mar bungalow

    Mar is a hexagon-shaped bungalow and is located on the slope of the hill below el Colibrí and has the same amenities as Sol and la Luna but it is equipped with an ecological compost toilet and has no loft. This bungalow can have a king-size bed and an individual bed or three individual beds, as well as a fan.

    Papaya and mango mini bungalows

    These bungalows are located next to each other, close to the yoga studio. Papaya is the biggest of the two rooms with a king size bed or two twin beds. Mango has a queen-size bed. They share the bathroom and are equipped with an ecological compost toilet and an outside space with hammocks in front of the rooms. Also, they both have a fan and a small refrigerator.

    Sol and Luna bungalows

    These two adjacent and very spacious bungalows are made of adobe and natural stone with a palm roof, both have a porch and an incredible view of the beach from your hammock and your bed. Gorgeous sunsets are free. Both bungalows have a king-size bed and a loft with a queen-size bed, a private bathroom, and a beautifully tiled shower under the open sky, surrounded by a natural stone wall. There is also a fan and a small refrigerator.

    Torre and Estudio

    Estudio and Torre are two rooms that are located high up, very close to the center where the retreats and classes take place. These rooms share the bathroom and a terrace with hammocks and a great view of the surrounding hills and the ocean. Estudio is a little more spacious than Torre. Estudio has a queen-size bed, while Torre has a king-size bed or two single beds. Both have fans and a small refrigerator.

    This week will mark your introduction to a wider understanding of yoga with three agreements in mind: a new perspective gives you permission to truly let go, spending time in an environment of natural beauty and inspired people, and you deserve to feel energized, nurtured, and supported with healthy habits cultivating your contented wisdom, which will remain long afterwards.

    Through systematically sampling carefully selected traditions and modern innovations, you will be led to the present with a great understanding of your personal practice and the most effective methods. Beginning with seeds, or sankalpa, meditating on what drives intention for your practice, and noticing space to enhance and transform in eye-opening ways, this week allows for positive change to occur within you, by understanding how the practice evolves around you.

    Introductions to unique meditation forms are available each day, enhancing your yoga practice, whether you choose to practice in the morning, the evening, or both. This will be a holistic transformation of your daily life through ancient yoga. You will grow through doing, sharing, and connecting with the most established ancient beliefs, finding the clarity in your journey and experiencing evolution in the present moment.

    At the end of the retreat, you will come away truly transformed and with a clearer perspective and understanding of how ancient nadis, doshas, and prana are intertwined with the modern understanding of the hormonal and central nervous system.

    Each day will begin with a yoga session in the shala at 07:30, followed by breakfast. After, there are pranayama or meditation sessions to set you up for a mindful day ahead. Towards the sunset, you will enjoy an energizing practice each evening. The program will be covered as follows:

    Day 1: Arrival

    Upon your arrival at the retreat, you will have some time to rest, followed by an opening circle Sankalpa, which will set the intention and meta for the temazcal.

    Day 2: Origins

    You will practice sun salute variations, with insights into approaching foundation asanas. You will also learn about mantra meditation: Om, Japa, and Gayatri. Finally, you will learn about tantra yoga, hip opening, devotional and inspired sequence, and Shiva Shakti.

    Day 3: Tradition

    Today will be Hatha day. You will practice 26 asanas with deep awareness of the sensations in your body. You will also cover pranayama perfecting, Sukha pranayama, Uyjai, Nadi Shodana, Kaplabhati, and three-part breath, as well as yoga mudra for healing reflective of the Krishnamachayria approach.

    Day 4: Invention

    This day you will practice Ashtanga inspired salutations and sequences, trataka kriya, and Iyengar approach.

    Day 5: Recapitulation

    You will practice modern sun moon salutations and their Vinyasa variations, chakra meditation, and restorative yoga.

    Day 6: Immersion

    Today, you will learn about the dynamic flow, also known as power yoga, Ananda mandala meditation, as well as meditative, slow, mindful Hatha yoga.

    Day 7: Evolution

    Today will be the culmination of all sequences to peak pose options. You will also receive the Tibetan singing bowl and sound healing meditation. Yin meta meditation with sankalpa realization will also be covered today.

    Day 8: Departure

    You will have a morning yoga session before being transferred to the airport.

    • Stefan Podolczuk

      Stefan blends hot Barkan Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa systems through the meditative inspiration of Vipassana. He has been instructing since 2013 and practicing for life, although he learned but proper asana in 2007. He took classes for a while in Cardiff with his first Guru, Buddhist yoga instructor Padamasima. Later, he began attending classes in the Shambhala Center, in London. In 2014, Stefan became a Yoga Alliance qualified instructor in Melbourne.

    This retreat will take place in the unspoilt, rural beach town Puerto Ángel, Zipolite, Oaxaca, Mexico.
