A week filled with magical mornings with meditation and self-practice in a beautiful newly build yoga shala in the forest and afternoons with workshops, the study of yoga philosophy, and asana labs. Evenings covered with some Yin yoga and deep relaxation. All meals (vegetarian or vegan) included accommodation and activities. Be ready for an intense but still relaxing week of yoga.
We live in traditional Swedish summer houses, very cozy, and comfortable.
Every morning meditation is a part of our daily routine before we go ahead with the more active asana practice. Then we eat some lovely breakfast. After breakfast, we have a short break before a noon-workshop which will change everyday and we will cover different parts of yoga including, asana, pranayama, chanting mantra, philosophy, background, and much more.
A light lunch and then some free time where you can take a walk on the beautiful island, swim in the ocean, sunbath, read a book in the hammocks, take a nap, and much more. And then to relax, we do some Yin yoga and relaxation practices. A nice dinner served buffet style and some of the night we'll screen a yoga film for everyone who wants!
With a bakground in music Sofia started practicing yoga at the age of 13. She did her first yoga teacher traning in India after graduating school at 19 years old. Since then practicing and teaching yoga has been a huge part of her life. Today Sofia is a dedicated Ashtanga yoga practiciner and been practicing with numbers of well known Ashtanga teachers such as Chuck Miller, David Swenson and Sharath Jois at KPJAYI in Mysore, India. Sofia's been teaching workshops and retreats in different parts of the world. Also regular classes and a Mysoreyoga-program mainly in Stockholm for about 4 years
