"Deciding to attend the women's spring awakening retreat was probably the best decision I have ever made for myself. I suppose I somehow manifested the experience because I was struggling in my life and had been looking at options to get away for quite some time. Five days before the retreat started, I found this with Amber and Tawny, and everything about it screamed do this! Thankfully, Leah from Yogascapes wrote me back immediately urging me to join! I was looking for a place to lose myself in yoga and heal. This experience turned out to be so much more than that. Never have I felt so rawly accepted for who I was down to my core right from the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by hugs and bindis. The yoga was unique, challenging, and inspiring. I am an adventure guide for at-risk youth and have spent a lot of time creating environments and activities to push the young people I work with; so it was quite interesting to be on the receiving end of a therapeutically designed activity. The instructors are so well rounded, creative, and driven. Amber and Tawny brought such love, compassion, and genuine peace to each beautifully designed activity, that inner reflection, and self-love developed naturally. This experience was the most incredible combination of beautiful people, fabulous food, and the most amazing atmosphere that fostered and guided me through some much-needed soul searching. It is hard to describe how this time of emotional vulnerability, with fear of expressing feelings, and anxiety towards life choices, turned into confidence in dreams and compassion for experiences. Any woman would benefit from this retreat in some form. I also walked away with 20 new beautiful women in my life who I am overjoyed to call friends, who make me feel loved every day still. I am choosing to be happy and wholeheartedly enjoy my now, but I am so thrilled for next spring already. Thanks!"

"All in all, I thought it was a good retreat. Pedro is a wonderful person, as well as a good instructor. Avalon Springs is a bit on the rustic side and had too much vegetarian food for my taste, I was starving when I got home. The staff at Avalon Springs are all really lovely people and the hot springs are very rejuvenating. I thought the cost was a bit high for less than 48 hours of being there. I think the seven days pricing was much more appropriate. I went to this three-day yoga retreat in January 2014."

"Where to start?! The retreat far exceeded any expectations that I had. From the time I landed in Bali until it was time to leave the center, everything was completely taken care of and planned with precision. I loved the intimacy of how small our group was. The accommodations were stunningly beautiful. Having a gluten allergy was of no issue and I was completely taken care of and the food was so fresh, healthy, and delicious. Each of our excursions were exciting and interesting. From the cooking class to the sunrise hike and visiting sacred temples, I enjoyed it all! We were lucky to visit during the Balinese new year and the local festivities were so much fun! The locals were kind and welcoming. Daily yoga was such a treat and some days three practices! Alexa, our instructor, is a gifted teacher and brought some deep thought and insight into our practices. I couldn't have dreamed up a better trip! What a beautiful group of people that I left feeling as kindred spirits! I feel honored to have practiced with Alexa Nehter! What a gifted instructor. Such a calm and solid energy who made learning fun. I felt challenged in new things, yet capable of all our practices. I loved that we practiced two times daily and she even fit in a couple short practices/workshops in between. If only I had the same people cooking for me at home!!! Every meal was everything I could want! So fresh and healthy. I had zero stomach issues and the chefs were overly accommodating with my gluten allergy. There is nothing I would change. Leah was the most organized, the most in time, the most helpful. Add in nurturing and warm. She's the best!"

"Such a beautiful experience. I grew so much physically and spiritually over this week. Bali is a place I will carry with me for the rest of my life. The classes were informative, challenging and spiritual. I learned so much about my practice which I have brought back with me and started incorporating into my weekly routine. What would you change? No idea. I thought it was perfect. Food was always on time and amazing. Favorite Moments: Sunrise volcano hike followed buy a swim in the hot springs. Everything i wanted from a yoga retreat in Bali plus more! The yoga on the Bali retreat was exactly what I was looking for. Alexa switched up the classes enough to keep things interesting. She had a great balance of spiritual and physical components throughout the retreat. I would definitely take another retreat with her in the future. Our host was very organized, professional and fun! I would love to take another trip with Leah she took care of absolutely everything. "

"My sister and I attended this retreat together. It was a beautiful experience to be surrounded by so many interesting, lovely women. Claire, Naomi, Ashley, and Emily were fantastic. I felt so comfortable and cared for. The yoga space was so lovely and I really enjoyed Claire's instruction. I felt like the offerings were unique and deeply restorative, with a little challenge in the mornings. Naomi was also a fantastic assistant! Her adjustments made the experience even better for me.Favorite moments: Our circle sharing. Spending time with Claire and Naomi during the tarot card reading on our last night. Recognizing that although the other group participants varied in location, generation, etc.-we all have the same struggles and very similar needs. The retreat, overall, was humbling for me and deepened my compassion for my sisters all over the world. I hope to have many more experiences like the one you created."

"The total experience was nothing like I imagined. I feel so much better and I'm so happy I chose this specific escape. I really liked that Claire took the time to explain how important digestion is and what the ayurvedic lifestyle is about. I learned so much and I'm going to continue learning about it. Naomi and her team must have spent a lot of time on putting this together because there were so many details that were so specific and made me feel comfortable in a totally new and unknown environment. The cleansing kit, the beautiful dress I asked for, the delicious food that had a vegan option and setting with the decor gave me the impression that they didn't just see me as another random person on a retreat. They took a lot of time to get to know each individual and cater to their needs. Very unique and extremely appreciated experience. I really enjoyed the yoga exercises. I have never taken the time to slow and learn these breathing techniques. The massages were a big help too.The food was really delicious. The timing and consistency were spot on. I'm glad I learned about this cleanse and how easy it is to cook. My favorite moment was probably when the snow started to melt and we went on a hike. It was great to get out and explore how beautiful the area is. "

"The team of women at this retreat made the experience so wonderful. They brought so much warmth and love to Earth Dance! The little things- like pumpkins, lights, and fresh flowers...to how lovingly our yoga mats were folded for us each day brought so much to the experience. I felt very welcomed and like I was visiting friends. I also really enjoyed the hypnosis! That was entirely new to me and I learned a lot. I absolutely enjoyed our lunar workshop as well. The morning journal time was so cozy! I looked forward to that each morning and woke up earlier and earlier each day to get more out of it. It was also extremely fun to have a beauty bar for us with natural skincare! A lot of favorites but really- this was a great trip! Wonderful! I enjoyed the way the Claire gave us time to really prepare ourselves to practice. Stretching and focusing on our connective tissue was such a relief and brought a lot of ease to my mind as I had not been on the mat in quite some time. I appreciated the pace as well. I did not feel overwhelmed. The music was fabulous! Our meals were clearly prepared with so much love! The type of foods we ate were perfect for the goals of the retreat, and I very much appreciated the addition of eggs for added protein. I left the retreat feeling very refreshed and with such a greater understanding of how eating according to Ayurvedic principles can help my digestion. Favorite moments: Our closing ceremony around the campfire was so special! I also loved when we first arrived and got to settle into our rooms. It was so fun to receive items chosen just for me and then have tea and a snack with ladies as they arrived. Such a nice way to start things off!All in all I am so grateful to each person who put in the time and effort to make this trip great for us. We had a group of over 30 completely unique women and it was amazing to see how from so many different paths in life we all were there to unite and honor ourselves and each other. "

"i cannot even verbalize what this FPEscape did for me. I am a 53 year old who was hit in the head with a ball accidentally in november while teaching and suffered a concussion. I was not improving but getting rather worse. After the holiday season, I went for a MRI in February only to be told I had a brain tumor. It was growing rapidly and I had to be admitted to Umiami Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami Florida within 10 days to have brain surgery.....all this to say that my life since has not been easy. It took a toll on me and my sweet family. I faced many challenges and still today trying to overcome them. I had been highly medicated, as you would imagine, and the medication caused side effects that made matters worse. My older daughter kristen who came to help her dad care for me encouraged me, ok forced me, to attend the fpescape in the berkshires to help my with my recovery. I was only out of the hospital a few weeks and the escape was 6 months away. I agreed and so it was! Here I am today to tell you that this escape meant more to me than anything since my surgery. I was embraced by the most loving caring free people team that made me feel safe and loved (Naomi Emily Ashley) My teacher Claire recognized my weakness and challenges but never judged me...she only loved me as well.. These leaders honored and encouraged me to listen to my body and do something I hadn't done since I was told I had the tumor...and that was to sleep. To sleep and rest my mind body and spirit. My entire being was never in a more relaxed state than it was while I was in on this retreat. WHat yogascapes did for me no medicine could have ever done. By time I left, I was in a positive state, feeling stronger than ever, encouraged, fearless, hopeful and loved. I was renewed. I was empowered by every single beautiful lady that attended. We all had our stories, our tears, our trials and failures, but when we departed we left that all behind us. We set out a strong women filled with peace love and joy in our hearts. I will always cherish this time and those friendships. Thank you yogascape for restoring my will to live again.I love yoga but I'm an amatuer at it. I loved how claire taught us and how non judgemental she was towards the women and especially me. I even fell asleep while she sang and spoke. it was the deepest most beautiful state of sleep I had in a long long time. she let me rest and as embarrassed as i was ,,,she smiled at me with love in her eyes. The women were all on different levels of learning and no one ever judged another on what they could or couldnt do. How blessed was I to be able to do that which i love but am so terrible at...yet still feeel so successful at it. i absolutely LOVED it.the cleanse was superior! The food was amazing and as a strict vegetarian the past 17 years this type of food spoke to my soul. There wasnt a think I didnt love and my body responded with comfort and joy! I made the recipes the week I returned home. It was love on the table and i havent felt so good in a long time."THANK YOU FPESCAPES I LOVE YOU, I REALLY DO..I CHOOSE TO LIVE AND LEAVE FEAR BEHIND ME."

"The feeling of sisterhood in a non judgmental safe environment was awesome. Sharing each of our stories and realizing we're all basically the same, no matter our age or where we're from. Lots of laughing and crying. I came away with a definite internal shift. For me, Claire, the yoga instructor, made every penny of the retreat cost worth it. She has a beautiful spirit and so much wisdom for her age. I can't say enough about the quality of her classes and teachings. I felt the schedule was perfect. Full but at a relaxed pace. I would rate quality, quantity, timing and atmosphere all high. The kitchen staff was also fabulous. Friendly and very accommodating. Favorite moments: From the moment we arrived the FP staff was wonderful. The care that was taken in the little extra touches at our beds, the presentation of the gifts, etc. was beautiful. Relaxing around the dining tables, chatting. The sauna. Laughing in our rooms at days end. Burning of intentions on paper and singing around campfire. Listening to women opening their hearts. Meditations where Claire sang and we had surprise musical guests from Earth Dance. The love that was felt in every moment! My friend signed me up for this retreat. I had no expectations. I'm not typically a big group, women only, hold hands in a circle, touchy feely person. But the magic that happened between all of us and inside each of us because of the culmination of all the things we did was what made the weekend amazing. My body and heart opened, something shifted and I believe the effects of the retreat will continue to change me as a person forever more. And so it is. "

Tabitha (the yoga instructor) and the Yogascapes team were the warmest, friendliest and adventurous people in this retreat. I arrived late and was worried that I had missed something, and immediately Leah from Yogascapes greeted me with a hug and let me know that I had arrived at the right time, before dinner. The food, the location, the sights, the outdoor activities, the companionship and the yoga were amazing. I'm incredibly grateful for all the work the team put into this retreat. "I am so glad I joined yogascapes to the Heart of Italy. The trip far exceeded my expectations. The hosts at Montevestole were warm and gracious and the location was simply gorgeous. We had an incredible yoga instructor, went on afternoon hikes in the beautiful countryside, visited beautiful nearby villages, and went wine tasting in a castle! Our yogascapes guide, Nicole, was really fun and super helpful in organizing my transfers when my flight in was delayed. I had a wonderful time bonding with the other travelers, all of whom turned out to be traveling solo as well! The quality of classes also exceeded my expectations. The number of classes were perfect and challenged us in good ways. Dana is a talented yogi and teacher, designing classes personalized around our goals as she got to know us during the week. The yoga space was excellent. There was plenty of space for our small group of about eight. It was clean, had a wonderful view, and the fireplace was great for chilly mornings/evenings! Favorite Moments: Yoga, getting to know my fellow yogis and the hosts at Montevestole, hiking, pasta making, trip to nearby towns, wine tasting and dinner in the castle.Food was outstanding, plentiful, and mealtimes around the community table were a highlight. It was very thoughtful for them to have vegetarian options, and labeling entrees that did have meats etc. for those with various restrictions. "

"The Iceland retreat was the best thing I've ever done for myself. Every day was better than the last, and the entire trip felt surreal. It changed my life! I love that each class was different, and Aarona figured out what we needed each day, based on the other adventures and plan. Really? Impossible to narrow it down. My favorite waterfall was Solfoss, my favorite area was Snaefellsness (sp?), I loved our driver Gulli, the yoga in the city with Aarona's Moon Deck, the black shipwreck beach, Leah and Haana, meeting 20 complete strangers and becoming forever friends. And celebrating my birthday...with Gulli singing at lunch and everyone singing at dinner, complete with a cake and candle! Leah is an amazing guide, and this trip was only as great as it was because she rocks!"

"Highlights for me included the people we traveled with as much as the country we visited. Experiences shared are magnified. Complementing the travel experiences with grounding, contemplative yoga sessions intensified and balanced the journey. I particularly appreciated the professional agility and flexibility of Ben and Aarona to adapt to environmental and personality needs.I'm humbled to have stumbled onto Aarona as a teacher of yoga and healing. She shares her vast experience with a peace and humility that invites rather than intimidates. I particularly appreciate the fact that attention to whole, heathy food, and to each person receiving their own particular dietary desire is a focus of Yogascapes. The food went way above my expectations. Thank you. I didn't once eat "junk" to fill a gap till the next wholesome meal. You kept us well fueled and deeply satisfied. And even came home a pound lighter!off the beaten path adventuresFavorite moment: Impossible decision."

"I was relieved about the yoga classes-not difficult and they left me feeling refreshed. Really good and experienced instructor. The yoga spaces were okay. It was a lot of different spaces and the yoga retreats I have previously attended always had a dedicated space to grow fond of, but, that wasn't possible on this type of trip."Great food. I was happy the restaurants were carefully chosen. I felt that I had a chance to taste the cuisine of some of the better restaurants in Reykjavik and beyond.Going on this retreat solo was one of the best decisions I've made this year. I met a group of amazing people, some of which I know will be life long friends. I literally haven't laughed that much in ages! The space could have been a bit bigger to accommodate the number of women we had. I enjoyed the sense of community and love throughout the retreat. The women in attendance formed a sisterhood and I liked that I felt welcomed and accepted. The setting was beautiful and serene and how hosts were amazing; they prepared the space for us and cooked us great meals. I also liked the many things that the FP staff did for us, including prepare some personalized welcome packages. The food was AMAZING. We had plenty to go around amongst everyone. "I'd have to say Katie's classes were so far beyond expectation! Best yoga classes I've ever taken...so much more than "just yoga"! The space was beautiful. From beginning to end this was such a delightful experience! The Free People staff went above and beyond to make it special for each participant. The food was the best I've ever tasted!Absolutely unbelievable! I've been all over the world and this is the best food I've ever had by far. So healthy!!"

"Hard to organize, easy to get wrong, done perfectly well. We all thought that the Ecocamp was the pick of the places to stay in the Torres, the Circuit was excellent. Cascada was a million miles ahead of everyone else. Your food was far, far better than the Refugios. Your guides were world class. Safe and effective. I cannot speak too highly of Cascada and your efforts."

"Our stay in El Chaltén was magical. Our visit to the Ecocamp was also magical. Our guides, Hernan and Nico were perfect. We really enjoyed our yurts, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the mountains were beautiful. This is a very special place."

"Our EcoCamp experience was clearly the highlight of our 10-day Patagonia visit and one of the best of our many years of international travel. We loved everything about EcoCamp, even though we had one day of mostly heavy rain."

"The Iceland trip in a nutshell: double rainbows and hot springs everywhere, amazing people, one of the best yoga instructors I have ever encountered, Aarona rocks, great lodging, daily active adventures, and just a darn good time. I went with a friend but would have been comfortable going solo. I would definitely recommend going, it was one of the best trips of my life!"

"By the end of the first yoga session, I felt incredible. My hands were hot, tingling with a reinvigorated circulation, and I could not feel any tension in any part of my body; everything hung loose. The calming effects of this yoga class were heightened due to an earlier visit to the Blue Lagoon, the geothermal spa that lies in a lava field in the south coast fishing town of Grindavík."

"I did not think I needed this workshop. I thought I had a decent relationship with my body, yet over the course of the workshop, I became aware of the myriad ways in which I internalize negativity and undermine my body and, therefore, myself on a daily basis. It was powerful to realize that transforming negativity could have such a profoundly beneficial effect on me and those around me, daily, lastingly."

"Kimber’s open and generous discussion of her body issues and that of the other women in the workshop helped me understand my own and taught me easy ways to overcome them. Highly recommended for anyone who would like a better relationship with their body."

"I left the retreat refreshed. I loved the yoga sessions, they energized me for the day and relaxed me for the night. The teachers, Shannon and Micah, were amazing in that I lost myself in the yoga and the fabulous surrounding. The food was plentiful and very yummy. As a first-time rock climber, I was exhilarated to make it to the top of a tricky climb that I thought was far out of my skill, but the instructor talked me through step by step and I made it to the top. And the group was wonderful."

"My whole life I have loved to hear and share stories and I know from experience there is nothing quite like letting a powerful, heart-shifting story seep into your pores as you settle into a breath-filled yoga pose. Chopping vegetables for dinner at night, I often turn on my favorite snappy storytelling radio show and listen for inspirational stories to share in yoga class. I believe sometimes a single story can change your life."
