This retreat will focus on reconnecting with your true self. In a yoga practice, we do many things to improve our physical and mental well-being. What we are really after is that sense of peace and freedom we have when we end the session in savasana. It is supposed to give us a sense of separation from the body. This is not your body nor is it your mind. They are vehicles alone. We are supposed to be able to completely separate from the flesh and connect with the spirit. Once we can embrace that concept then we can look further to see the true self. That is the person we are trying to connect with. That is our own little piece of God right inside us. When we are able to make this connection, we realize nothing else matters and we are content and happy with things just as they are.
The retreat villa is very spacious and modern, but still, it retains elements of classical Canarian building and every corner is dedicated to the well-being of guests, including a beautiful green patio garden with palm, banana trees, and herbal garden. The swimming pool is solar heated (temperature ranges from 21 degrees Celsius in winter to 26 degrees Celsius in summer).
It’s a circular space containing a very special energy inside. It is nestled in the garden, surrounded by trees and the stunning presence of the volcano. At the entrance, you will find a chill-out area where you can experience the peacefulness of the place after your practice.
Each room has a private lounge área with a hammock, free Wi-Fi, and many of them with a kitchenette. Linens, towels (beach and bath), hairdryer, and soaps are included. A washing machine is available.
By practicing different styles of yoga: Hatha, Kundalini, Vinyasa, Yin, Nidra, meditation and gong sessions) with awareness, you'll release from tension and stress, you'll transform stagnant energy into determination and agitation into steadiness and grounding. As the week unfolds, you reconnect to your inner compass and invite new perspectives into your horizons, so you can stay physically and emotionally well-balanced in daily life.
“It is through the alignment of the body that I discovered the alignment of my mind, self, and intelligence.” (B.K.S. Iyengar)
