Ashtanga yoga and meditation retreat is a yoga course that is designed for students who want to experience Ashtanga yoga. Normally, Ashtanga yoga seems to be an advanced style of yoga but this retreat is taught in a way that is suitable for students who are trying this form for the first time. Ashtanga Vinyasa is a form of yoga that mainly focuses on building the postures and stamina of the body. Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga is based on a series of postures primary series and secondary series.
During the course, you will be staying at Yoganandham (A School for Yoga Learning). The school has a yoga studio, a dining area, a reception, and a wonderful garden surrounded by mountains. Yoganandham Yoga School offers single and double rooms based on the student’s requirements.
Every room has an attached bathroom with a western toilet and hot shower and a cozy seating area provides picturesque views. The rooms for the yogis are well-maintained and clean. They offer bed sheets, pillows, bath towels, toilet paper, a blanket, and toiletries. High-speed Wi-Fi is activated in all property which will keep you connected.

This retreat includes Ashtanga yoga sessions which will work on your strength and stamina as well as on your flexibility, Shatkarma which cleans your inner body and prepares your body for external exercise, yoga philosophy which is the most important part for understanding the true meaning of yoga, pranayama which cleans blockages of your inner body, and meditation which will calm you down from inside and outside after so much of hard work.
Please note that class timings are subject to be change according to the conditions. There will be no classes on Sunday, and Sunday is reserved for an excursion which is also included in the package price.
You will be waking up early morning and head to the sunrise point, taking a one-hour ride in a taxi. Then you will be enjoying the breathtaking view of the sunrise, meditating there for 30 minutes, and trekking down through the jungle.
Yogacharya Manish Arora is a founder of Yoganandham (A School of Yoga Learning). He is well known and loved for the classes he teaches such as yoga philosophy, Hatha yoga, and teaching methodology sessions for yoga teacher training students. His aim is to teach ancient and authentic teaching methods of yoga practice in the traditional yoga styles which bring the essence of mastery. Yogi Manish teaches with all his experience and knowledge to all the yoga learners with humility and sincerity, but also with positive thoughts and meticulousness.
Vaibhav Arora is a meditation and pranayama teacher at Yoganandham Rishikesh. Immersed in yogic practices from an early age, Vaibhav has been on the path of yoga and spirituality since childhood. Being born and raised in a traditional family in northern India gave him the surroundings that naturally led him to a yogic lifestyle.
