The Monastery of San Girolamo is a magnificent Renaissance monument wrapped in the majestic arms of centuries-old oaks. Finished in 1503 by Don Ghisello Vandini of the noble Vandini family, Capitani di Frontino can be defined as from the Renaissance period. Inside you can find a spacious room, finely decorated with wonderful period frescoes. If needed, it will be used for your yoga and meditative activities. There is no shortage of space here. They have a wonderful cloister and a lush garden all around the structure.
Alternatively, comfortable gazebos especially set up can be used for practicing yoga sheltering them from the summer rain, without having to give up contact with mother nature. The ancient church, now deconsecrated, is available for various activities. Inside you can find the magic of history, through a blissful silence that only the atmosphere of ancient times can help you to re-live. A fantastic opportunity for yoga and group meditation, without neglecting the possibility of guaranteeing truly intimate and personal moments. The rooms feature simple furnishings and essential comforts. In each room, together with the essentials, you can find a private bathroom with a shower cubicle. Wi-Fi connection is throughout the building.
This yoga and meditation retreat is suitable for every level of knowledge. They will help you relax body and mind. The YogaMea School formula “Arrive and leave when you want” offers everyone the possibility to organize themselves as well as possible in order to participate in this retreat. This way you can relax and stay with them for as long as you wish, choosing the best arrangement for yourself.
You will carry out meditation sessions and yoga under the guidance of the instructors, who after years of experience in practical and theoretical training are able to sustain any level of preparation from a beginner to a more advanced level. Together with the usual and transformative yoga and meditation activities, you find time to go for group walks, or if you prefer, you can go alone to enjoy an excellent massage, read a book in the garden, or by the pool. On Sundays, there are no lessons, however, it is still possible to use the various areas that are always at your disposal for solitary practice.
It is also possible to book a private yoga session. On Sunday, various excursions will be available. These will be evaluated nearer to the day, taking into account the requests of those present: in just over 30 minutes it is possible to visit the city of Urbino, or on the other side of the hills, the small Republic of San Marino; there is also the possibility to visit the cells of Cagliostro, the Castle of San Leo, or to go for a walk by sea in the nearby seaside resorts. Going to visit the guests at YogaMea School by the sea is something that guests at the Monastery like best.
It allows them to make new acquaintances and spend the day on the beach in Misano Adriatico. On other occasions, it is the guests from YogaMea school in Misano who join at the Monastery. This yoga retreat carries on without interruption. It starts around Easter and ends when the weather turns cold in October. Your holiday will not only be dedicated to yoga and meditation. It will also offer you the wonderful opportunity to relax and let go of the tensions of everyday life. Come and savor the magic of this period residence, guided by their expert teachers who will give you what you need to start off.
In addition to this, there are many extra activities available. The maximum number of participants for the yoga and meditation retreat is 20 people. However, in the case of larger groups, YogaMea school can arrange classes and instructors for simultaneous sessions. Check-in time is 2:00 p.m. and check-out time is 10:00 a.m. YogaMea School reserves the right to apply these times only and exclusively in the following examples. If you come earlier and your room is ready, the management can allow anticipated entry at no additional cost. At departure, the same rule applies.
Every morning, Yogamea school proposes a Hatha yoga lesson. Each lesson lasts 90 minutes. Some may think that this is difficult, but on the contrary, they would like to assure you that it is perfectly accessible to everyone. In fact, each lesson is suitable for beginners and also advanced yogis. By getting in tune with your body, the transformation will begin, because, with YogaMea school at San Girolamo Monastery, you can, in just a few days, obtain the maximum benefits.
Through the asana yoga positions, the pranayama exercises breathing technique, yoga meditation, and chanted mantras, you will attain a state of well-being beyond compare. Karma yoga is doing your duty without thinking about yourself. Karma yoga’s main purpose is to keep in check and finally allow you to let go of your ego. During Karma yoga practice, it is essential that you do not involve your ego because only this way you will be able to practice without attachment and personal desire. The Karma yoga activities are all those tasks, in which guests actively take part in, in order to ensure that everything at the yoga retreat is a success, for example, the cleaning of one’s room or the communal areas, preparing for meals, picking up leaves, watering the plants, etc.
Timea Vitez E-RYT500, YACEP, is the co-founder of YOGAMEA School. She discovered yoga after having a serious car accident, then she began studying and practicing on her own from an old book. Discovering a great passion for yoga, a few years later she ventured towards her first trip to India where she took part in a yoga teacher training program of 200 hours at The Rishikesh Yog Peeth School. Happy with her first experience, but eager to go more in-depth, she returned to Rishikesh several times over the next few years and repeated the same course experience numerous times.
Narendra is a resident yoga experts at RYP. He did his M.A in Yoga Science from Sanskrit Gurukul Vishvidyalaya, Haridwar, India. He has spent time in Mysore, India developing his knowledge of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. He is also trained in Vedic Astrology and Vedanta under Swami Maheshananda Saraswati in Rishikesh and is an initiate of the Udaseen lineage. Narendra is loved by his students for his dynamic style and precise adjustments that add a new dimension to their asana practice.
In 2016, Donatella moved to China where she met Victor Kumar who introduced her to Yoga. She studied with him for two years before returning to Italy and with this experience in her heart, she decided to deepen her studies. On her return to Italy, she completed RYT 500H in two years, graduating as Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa Teacher in the YogaMea School thanks to the teaching and continuous support of Timea Vitez. In 2018 she started immediately to teach in Rome and cultivate herself as a yoga teacher. At the same time, she started to train as an actress and come back to the dance.

You will be served three vegetarian meals per day as well as water and herbal tea included in the price. Food is made by local organic products, prepared by the expert hands of the chef, with buffet service, served at the restaurant.
