During your stay, you have the possibility to explore the following topics

  • Techniques on how to lower the risk of injury during asana practice

  • How to practice Dhyana (meditation)

Greater awareness is placed on mindfulness-based stress reduction practices. With the ancient breathing techniques and meditation techniques that you learn during your yoga retreat in Italy with YogaMea School, in addition to learning a correct and effective alignment when performing asanas, you will learn and practice specific breathing exercises, which combined with meditation techniques will help you to relieve stress, anxiety, as well as depression and pain.

After leaving the retreat, you will return home aware of your new state. This will motivate you to continue your daily practice. The retreat offers you two hours of yoga practice in the morning and two more hours of yoga practice in the evening, with pranayama, mantra sing, and daily meditation (one hour). Morning classes are usually more dynamic for building up strength, at a faster pace, while afternoon classes are typically gentler, slower, and more relaxing.

The retreat will take place in Misano Adriatico, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The city of Misano Adriatico is located on the Adriatic Coast and is a popular tourist destination for its beautiful sandy beaches and great sightseeing. It is located in the same region as Rimini. Its beaches extend for about seven kilometers and here, you can relax with peace of mind, knowing that you are in a safe place. Further inland, you can find green areas with ancient pine trees and varied vegetation, making your stay in the city of Misano Adriatico a peaceful one.

Food

You will be served three vegetarian meals a day (possibility to change the menu at no additional cost) and unlimited water and herbal teas included in the price. YogaMea School was founded in India many years ago. Since their establishment, they have embraced the idea of ​​proposing yoga in its purest form, respecting its principles of philosophy and true traditions. One of the determining factors of good training is nutrition and that is why the cuisine they offer, commonly called yogica, is at times far from pleasant for some palates.

The true definition of this is Sattvic cuisine, from the Sanskrit word "Sattva" (which means virtuous, pure, bright, wise). Sattvic cuisine is Ayurveda-based; perfect for those who practice yoga: low in fat, helps to prevent illnesses such as diabetes, and keeps away dangerous threats such as high cholesterol; rich in fiber, it also promotes weight loss. Vegetable-based and free of stimulants, such as alcohol, meat, fish, eggs, salt, and fats, in general, are also excluded. This type of cuisine can be classified close to being vegetarian, even if there are differences.

Drawing courses

The course costs 200 EUR per day with an excellent local artist who is highly rated and can be divided up to a maximum of four participants. There is a supplement of 25 EUR for each additional person.
