Take your teaching to the next level and enhance your personal practice with Hot Yoga Academy (parent company Yogalinda) 300-hour Hot Vinyasa Teacher Training. This program will dive deep into meditation, philosophy, the workings of the body and mind with detailed applied anatomy, and biomechanics. There will be a 5-day Vipassana yoga retreat where the group will spend a transformative time together, to share, explore, and spend time questioning and learning from each other in a means to grow and take yoga businesses to the profitable and successful frontiers.
During this teacher training program, you will be accommodated at an apartment which is within 20 to 25 minutes walking distance from the studio. All apartments are equipped with cooking and laundry facilities, heating, and air conditioning.
Drawing on traditional Vinyasa as the basis of study for alignment and adjusting we will also explore alternative yoga disciplines such as Therapeutic yoga, Restorative yoga, and Yin yoga, as well as Yoga Nidra. You will leave this 5-week training being able to instruct a wide population of students, from beginners to those with special needs or limitations. You will also be able to teach students meditation and pranayama practices which stem from your own experience of these practices.

You will be spending five days in silent contemplation and meditation in a beautiful natural setting in Catalunya
The training will be made as practical as possible so that you can go out to apply and teach all your new knowledge immediately. There will be an in-depth focus on sequencing for different body types, injuries, and illnesses, as well as adjusting verbally and physically.
As most students in the training will have a yoga business of some sort, there will be time to discuss the problems facing as yoga teachers and individual yoga coaching from Heather Anderson, to help you accomplish your yoga business dreams. There will be exercises and Nidra yoga visualizations to keep you on track to achieve success as a yoga teacher.
You will spend 5 days in the Catalan countryside, where you will take walks in the countryside and enjoy the peace of being in silence. During these 5 days of philosophy sessions, pranayama, and yoga movement will be included in your days.
The days will start at 8.30 a.m. and end at 5.30 p.m. with an hour lunch from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. Each day will start with a hot asana practice followed by 30-minute of pranayama/meditation. After asana there is a short break for juices or coffee etc. Then we will go into a theory topic such as yoga therapy, sequencing, philosophy or anatomy.
During the 2nd week for 3 weeks, you will be a given two private clients to work with. One within the group and one client from outside the studio. You will need to create 60-minute sequences for these private clients based on their limitations, injuries, and expectations for their private yoga class. Each week you will teach them, adjust the sequences based on the client and our feedback and prepare and teach the following week. These private classes will be scheduled in the afternoons.
The training has a strong emphasis on meditation and pranayama to prepare you for the 5 days of silence at the end of the course. Anatomy, yoga philosophy and yoga therapy topics, as well as yoga business, are also going to be discussed in depth. Adjusting is an important topic and a complete manual will be devoted to this topic.
You will be going on a 6-night 5-day silent yoga retreat in the Catalan wilderness at the end of the training. Where students will learn to live in silence and enjoy the pleasures of the mind. You will not be just sitting all day, there will be yoga, silent hikes, and lectures on philosophy and mindfulness as well as pranayama will be included in the daily schedules. No phones, Wi-Fi, books, pens, and pencils with notebooks accessible during the retreat.
Heather began practising Hot yoga in Toronto, Canada 15 years ago. The love of the Spanish language brought Heather to Spain in 2006. After several stressful years in sales in a crisis market, Heather decided to follow one of her lifelong dreams to become a certified yoga instructor. She was lucky to have been trained under Baron Baptiste (Baptiste Power Hot yoga), Ted Grand (Moksha Hot yoga), Bikram Yoga, Rodney Yee, Alex Leikermoser a.k.a. yogagurl, and the Tribe yoga instructors, Scarlett and Raquel. Heather is certified in teaching Vinyasa and Prenatal yoga.
Lezanne is a certified yoga teacher (RYT 500) through Yoga Arts and has completed a 40 hour Astanga teachers training with Caroline Klebl. Lezanne has also finished a 9-month Anatomy Teacher Training course through Leslie Kaminoffs The Breathing Project, as well as completed Sadie Nardinis Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training.
Morgan teaches a flowing and dynamic form of yoga practice very influenced by the work of a teacher called Simon Borg-Olivier and the Yoga Synergy school, which teaches “traditional yoga for the modern body”. It is a blend of Indian, Chinese, Tibetan yogas, and Western physiotherapy. The aim is to make yoga practice safer and more effective for modern practitioners by recognizing that due to lifestyle and conditioning, the bodies of modern urban people are in some ways very different to the bodies that many traditional yoga practices were created for.
Traveler by nature, she moved from Mexico to Barcelona in 2005 where she discovered Yoga as a way of life. Coming from a career in communication, nowadays she applies both professional aspects of her life to give Yoga classes, workshops, 200 hr. teacher trainings, Prenatal and Postnatal yoga and ttc, and individual therapies thru Yoga. She did her 200 hr. teacher training in Hatha-Vinyasa in Barcelona in 2009 and in 2011 travelled to India to study 300 hrs. at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, under the lineage of Desikachar and Krishnamacharya. London-born, Amanda Dawn Blackley has lived in Spain for 24 years, working previously in the field of sports communication and translation, she began to practice yoga to manage the demands of her profession, physical fatigue and stress. A more ‘yang-style’ personal yoga practice based on Ashtanga and Vinyasa, has gradually shaped itself over the years into a slower, deeper practice, incorporating longer holds within movement, as well as the quiet stillness of Yin Yoga and the practices of Mindfulness. Monika Varela is a Mindfulness instructor, psychologist, and English Public Speaker Trainer in Barcelona. She took her first meditation class when she was eight years old, but didn’t start a formal practice until she was 20 years old in 2005. She hasn’t stopped practicing Zen meditation since then because of the benefits and life tools she’s been able to take out of it. She has done numerous Zen retreats with the Zen School Zambokyoda along the years. Monika is known for her ability to talk about meditation in a natural way and makes mindfulness easy and accesible to everyone.
