Every day during the training, you will start with a hot vinyasa asana practice with pranayama breathing for a bout 1.5-2 hours. This would also sometimes include meditation, after which you will have a very short break. From there, you will either go into alignment or theory (philosophy, chakras, ayurveda, adjustments, anatomy, learning to sequence etc.). The first 2 weeks are more on theory and practicing different types of yoga like yin and restorative. The final 2 weeks of the training are more on practice teaching where you learn how to sequence vinyasa classes, practice teaching with blocks, straps and blankets, learn how to adjust students, how to deal with injuries and variations of postures, as well as prenatal and acro yoga.

There are 2 tests. The first is a written theory test. The 2nd is a 60 - 75 minute test where you teach and create your own hot vinyasa sequence, adjusting students and using props.

"I thought the YTT was very good. I enjoyed the fact that we had a few different instructors throughout the duration of the course - each one brought their own unique style of teaching and perspective to the course, which gave us, as the students, a greater understanding and platform for learning the essentials of yoga. I was quite apprehensive of doing the YTT as I have had bad knees for years and hurt my one knee again shortly before the course started, but there was nothing to fear - the instructors were all very knowledgeable about proper alignment to protect yourself from injury and always provided modifications for poses as well. The knowledge I gained on the YTT is invaluable - it has helped improve my own practice, taught me body awareness and equipped me with the necessary skills to confidently teach others what I have learned!", edited

"Choosing to do my teacher training intensive at Yogalinda has been an extraordinary experience. The training is set up to be incredibly practical while also giving you a taste of all these less-considered aspects of the practice you will end up craving to become an expert on. The team of people Heather has put together is well-balanced and full of wisdom and personality, making each section of the course exciting and leaving you wishing you had more time with all these mini mentors. I loved the atmosphere of Yogalinda and the energy of the entire training. The challenging 28 day intensive experience that was bound to leave us physically and emotionally exhausted ended up giving us equal energy back, making this easily one of the most enriching months of my life. "The training is definitely intensive. All of the teachers are knowledgeable and thorough, its definitely a lot of information to process in a short amount of time but by the end, you'll be surprised by how much sticks. It's the best thing I've done for myself physically and emotionally in a very long time."

"Barcelona is a great location for the course. The studio and apartments are located within walking distance and they're all close to the beach. Great atmosphere! The teachers were nice and they inspired us to work more. The course was divided into practice and theory every day. It's a good value for your money compared to other teacher trainings. I´m happy to have spent one month here and improve my practice and meet new friends."
