"How can I be helpful to others as a yoga teacher?"

During this teacher training you will study the history and philosophy of the yogic tradition. You will dive deeply into the world of asanas, addressing proper alignment, risks, and benefits. Styles like Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Restorative, Ashtanga, Acro yoga, and some basics of Iyengar will flow into the training, so you will have a varied and complete base to adjust to the needs of different students of yours.

You will also get to know the human body, it's potentials, the limitations, and why every asana is a completely different experience for each person, through a comprehensive study of yoga anatomy and physiology.

Building upon this foundation of knowledge, openness, and determined self-practice and self-exploration, you will learn how to share your discoveries with others, and become the best teacher you can be.

You will be aided by three instructors: Mandi Suppan from Austria who is a super yogi that has spent the last six years in India, studying and teaching yoga with great masters. He is very versatile regarding styles, being able to teach Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, or even Acro yoga. As such, you will receive a wide range of instruction on yoga styles that will help you to be of assistance to each student that will seek your teachings.

Mushky Nagel from New York is a psychologist and will help you with insights into pedagogy and how to teach your classes. Annette is an experienced yoga teacher and she will give you tips on how to set up your business and catch your client´s attention along with an introduction into Restorative yoga and essential breathwork.

Lastly, Jorge, the on site osteopath, will teach you the basics of osteopathy within the anatomy module so you can help your students even more efficiently to practice their asanas. You will enjoy an Acro yoga workshop with Mandi and Mushky.

Retreat location

Fuerteventura, one of Spain’s Canary Islands, sits in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Morocco. It’s known primarily as a holiday destination due to its white-sand beaches and year-round warmth, cooled by constant winds.

It's popular for watersports, especially surfing, windsurfing, and waterskiing but also is the perfect place to relax, recharge batteries, find inner peace, and enjoy outdoor activities.

Your base is in the village of Lajares in the north of Fuerteventura, the second largest of the Canary Islands. Lajares is a young, dynamic village with numerous restaurants, bars, and cafes. An art gallery, artisan gallery, and shops with jewelry and silk drawing reflect the interesting multi-cultural community.

Lajares is a melting pot for people from all Europe and even other continents. On Saturdays, the meeting point is the village place with its artisan market and music, which attracts tourists from all around.

Lajares is lovingly called Surf City by the locals, and surfers appreciate its ideal location to the north shore, the surfing mecca.
