Both while sailing and while practicing yoga the present moment is what matters the most. Is the course taken still the right one or do you need to change it? Is your body aligned with the position or do you need to change/adapt your body posture? Yoga and sailing keep you in the present moment. The winds and waves direction and changes, setting sails, steering the boat, asanas, breath and meditation techniques bring your spirit back to the now, for you to regain clarity and strength.
JEP VI is a Beneteau First 51, with three comfortable double cabins with private bathroom, a fully equipped kitchenette and a dining area with leather sofas, teak interior, plasma TV, and stereo. Furthermore, JEP VI is equipped with a card table with all the necessary equipment for a safe navigation. On deck, you can eat in the shade of the awning, lye in the sun, or use the dinghy to reach the fabulous Sardinian beaches.
In case unpredictable causes (Force Majeure) make Jep VI unavailable for the holiday week, Yogaandsailing will organize the yoga and sailing week on a similar boat with the same if not higher equipment as Jep VI.
We wake up in a quiet bay a few laps from the next beach, we take the dinghy ashore and practice yoga with sea view, every day in a new location. After yoga we swim back to the boat (or go back by dinghy) and it is time for our yummy, organic vegetarian (vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free options possible) brunch freshly prepared every day. Afterwards we set sail to the next destination. During the afternoon we sail, swim, snorkel, stand up paddle, sunbathe and sightsee and sometimes we practice yoga also in the late afternoon.
One night, we will sleep in the Bonifacio Marina, the rest in quiet bays of the Archipelago and South-East Corsica.
Yes, if you would like to experience yoga and sailing actively, would like to recharge and disconnect with the help of sea, sun, wind, beautiful landscapes and seascapes.
No, it is not and the yoga classes are tailored to the needs of the group. A yoga class usually starts with dynamic positions and continues with static and meditative exercises. By breathing exercises we get in tune with nature and the sea around us, and the waves rhythm increases our concentration. An evening meditation can be incorporated into the program if the group wishes so.
No it is not. If you are an experienced sailor, Ghego welcomes you to help run the boat, if you have limited experience this is the chance to learn if that appeals to you.
Yogaandsailing do their best to adapt the route to the group’s needs and to take you to the most beautiful beaches and bays. We are strongly dependent on wind direction and speed, therefore the sailing plan is decided on a daily basis. This makes the itinerary of each yoga and sailing retreat slightly different and unique. We start from Cannigione, a small harbor village and the perfect starting location to La Maddalena Archipelago.
North-East Sardinia, La Maddalena Archipelago, Bonifacio, South-East Corsica 45 sea miles in total, corresponding to a sailing duration of ca. 24 hours.
Caprera, Spargi, Budelli, La Maddalena, and Santa Maria offer different possibilities for hiking and walking around the islands and to different beaches, Yogaandsailing always makes sure to have enough time to walk to the pink beach in Budelli.
With its medieval citadel and the typical harbor is always appreciated also for some shopping, restaurant dinner, and a long shower while moored in the marina.
The beaches of Rondinara and Santa Amanza give you the perfect opportunity for a nice swim and also for a hike.
The two French islands always impress the participants, the first one for the exclusive villas belonging to the international jet set, Lavezzi for its rocky and stunning landscapes. In Lavezzi, we anchor for the night and we do a hike together following the path around the island to reach our favorite meditation spot on beautiful rocks facing the sunset.
