Tigmi is no ordinary hotel. Meandering corridors and courtyard paths will lead to twenty four authentically furnished and comfortable rooms. You will enjoy plunge pools, secret terraces, charming gardens, and a myriad of quiet corners in which to relax, read, and recharge. With two pools, a number of plunges, and a wealth of beautiful aromas, the stunning gardens at Tigmi are yours to enjoy.
Mazy paths lined with banana palms and citrus trees lead you around the beautiful gardens. Roses, hibiscus and bougainvillea, bring a delicate aroma and add bursts of colour to Tigmi’s garden walls. Bask in the sun, or seek out the shade. The terrace is showered in sunlight and offers stunning views of the Atlas Mountains.
It’s also home to the first of Tigmi’s two pools, perfect for cooling off with a quick dip, or stretching your legs with a relaxing swim. Inside a shady, secluded garden, you will find the second pool; solar heated all year to 26 degrees and surrounded by comfortable divans, it makes for an irresistible sanctuary from the Moroccan heat.
The Berber rooms have handcrafted Berber furnishings over flock wallpaper. With its Intimate and quirky design, they are decorated with locally woven cushions, covers and wall hangings, and stocked with specially made bath, shower, and body products. Located in both the old and new areas of the hotel, many are inter-connected, allowing them to be converted into family suites that sleep four.
In these, as in all the rooms, doors can be secured to keep children safe. The Berber bedrooms in the oldest part of the complex open onto the garden pool. The Berber rooms have and open fireplace in either bedroom or separate sitting room, a luxurious essential shampoo and body products, complimentary mint tea on arrival, complimentary bottle of water in room, daily turn down service, in room safe, and hair dryer.
During this retreat, the schedule can be flexible and adjusted according to students needs and requests.
This retreat will take place at the Tigmi Boutique Hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco. Tigimi is tucked away from the hubbub of Marrakech on the outskirts of a traditional Moroccan Berber village. The red city, as Marrakech is known, is also near from Tigmi.
The joy of the Marrakech region lies in its diversity, where you will revel in the colorful rush of the city souks, be inspired by the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains, and moved by the gentle and warm hospitality of the Berber people.
The Marrakech region is an area influenced by east and west, by Africa and Europe. Marrakech is two pulsating cities in one, where modern culture sits just the other side of 11th-century walls. And all this endearing commotion is surrounded by quiet Berber villages.

Over a million people live in Marrakech and Djemaa-el-Fna, the main square, is always alive with acrobats, snake charmers, dancers, and musicians. You may buy a water to quench your thirst or an ancient Berber potion to improve your relationship or if shopping is your thing, then you may go north into the souks, where a labyrinth of covered market streets is teeming with lively sellers and lost shoppers. Bartering on price over a mint tea is not uncommon.
And if you get good at the haggle, you may grab a bargain on shoes, bags, lamps, rugs, silk, cotton, pottery, and plates. If you prefer your prices fixed and your shopping a little more boutique, then leave the charms of the old city for the new town, where you will find casinos, art galleries, and plenty of places to enjoy dinner and drinks. Alternatively, you may head back to the main square after sunset as many food stalls open, turning Djemaa el-Fna it into a massive open-air restaurant.
