Come and grab this precious opportunity to enjoy sailing the Mediterranean, to have the experience of living on a boat, practice yoga in beautiful places, and participate in many other magical moments that simply happen on these weeks. During this retreat, you will be sailing, discovering, and practicing yoga every day in beautiful beaches whilst enjoying the experience of cruising, swimming, sunbathing, creating a team on board and relaxing in the beautiful islands of Ibiza and Formentera.
During this retreat, you will stay on the Atlantis boat. The Atlantis is a Luxurious catamaran boat 13,61 m long. It will accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 different cabins plus the captain and us teachers, so a maximum total of 10 pax will be joining each retreat.
On board, you will find all facilities with full sailing comfort, kitchen, bathrooms, and an inside spacious saloon area. This charming luxurious catamaran boat also offers a great outdoor dining space with a sitting area. This promises many beautiful breakfast, brunch, and dinners al fresco absorbing the scents of the ocean and the surrounding landscapes.
The boat also offers a great front deck to relax where you will have some of your meditation or sungazing sessions. There is plenty of space on the decks outside to relax, read, or sunbathe whilst sailing. Accommodation is always on a private basis. The 4 available cabins are double. Offering a big double bed and the best sailing comfort you need for a good night of rest. So all packages are for 2 people.
If traveling solo, you will also be able to book a private room at an additional price.
There are 2 types of accommodation for these weeks:
Every day, depending on the weather and wind, the captain will take you to the best beaches and sports on these islands. You will go to the most beautiful sandy and quiet beaches for the morning yoga practices, and then you will sail along enjoying the boat and the privilege of riding the Mediterranean Sea to great spots to enjoy meditation sessions or a dynamic yoga practice to finish with the stunning sunsets of the islands.
At night, you will moor in a cool beach where you will spend the night at. You will also be able to enjoy a meal in the restaurants by the beach.
Please note this is an amazing retreat with a small component of adventure and community. You will relax, practice yoga in incredible places, eat great food, and discover the islands but also everyone will be part of a team and shall help cooking, setting up common table altogether, etc. The most luxurious experience for nature and sea lovers.
The yoga practices will take place in different chosen beaches each morning. Practices on the beach are particular due to the terrain, as they happen on the sand. Please do not expect a practice like you will have on your own studio back at home.
The practice will be tailored to bring a sense of grounding to re-balance after the hours of floating on water. You will work on introspective postures, centering the energy as well as dynamic sequences working on core, balance, and focus.
The classes will also be tailored to suit the sand element and ensure you enjoy the practice on that element. You will also combine the yoga practices with meditation or other sessions in the afternoon both in the boat deck and inland. You will be ensured that you will not miss any of the stunning sunsets that the Balearic Islands offer.
During this week of sailing, you will get the chance to experience life on a sailing boat. Life on the Atlantis boat is an absolute privilege, however, remember we are in a boat, so accept that and teamwork is essential to enjoy the experience! You will discover life from the sea and have the possibility to access many beaches, places, and restaurants that are not reachable by land.
The times when you go sailing are for yourself, relaxing moments, or the opportunity to chat and socialize with the group. The daily stops on land will give you the opportunity to go exploring the island, discovering local food, cities, or villages.
On the other hand, you will also learn that life in a boat is different from life inland. It is a smaller space than in a house ( even tho the Atlantis is a luxurious catamaran) and you will be an essential part of the crew.
So, your collaboration and help will be needed with the captain, the yoga teacher, and the rest of the team in charge of all duties on the boat. Expect to be asked by the captain to help with some sails, ropes, and in some maneuvers when anchoring or at the port. Please help with preparing the meals, teamwork when setting up the table, and a rota for cleaning the dishes.
Please be mindful of the group and keep the boat tidy. Doing everything together is fun. Enjoy the bonding and the connection you create with the rest of the group.
On board, you will meet Carlos, the captain, and the yoga retreat teacher. Carlos has over 20 years of sailing experience not only in the Balearic Islands but in plenty of other sports in the world as well. He will safely sail you to all of the amazing places and share his time with the guests. Each boat will be led by one of the Yoga Weeks Barcelona teachers.
All yoga teachers who collaborate with Yoga Weeks Barcelona are all great. They are all international, well-traveled, and knowledgeable yoga teachers with whom you can connect and enjoy the yoga practices, philosophy chats, and plenty of great moments. In addition to the onboard team, you will also have Yoga Weeks Barcelona inland personal contact available at your disposal.
Please note that routes may vary according to weather and sea conditions. Routes due to wind changes are decided pretty much on a daily basis, however, the below places are the ones Yoga Weeks Barcelona would try and visit for being some of the most beautiful places.
The meeting point will be on Saturday, at a cafe-bar at Ibiza Club Nautico from 13:00. Yoga Weeks Barcelona staff will be there available to meet you at 13:00. Please note that you will be able to embark at 13:45 and the boat will set sail from the port at 14:00.
In Ibiza, you will visit Salinas Beach to see beautiful turquoise waters where famous Sa Trinxa and Jockey bars are, Cala Proroig, a place only accessible by boat which is a perfect paradise to practice yoga in the morning, and Cala d’Hort, a fantastic beach with a great restaurant for a night dinner located next to the magical water rock of Es Vedrà. Afterwards, you will have plenty of sailing time to Formentera which will take approximately three hours.
In Formentera, you will sightsee at Cala Saona which is an amazing quiet beach for practicing yoga with a great bar-restaurant for enjoying coffee or meals, Ses Illetes, one of the most emblematic places in Formentera where you will be delighted to see amazing sunsets at, Espalmador, a natural reserve located between Ibiza and Formentera, and Es Calò, a small cala located in the west of the island which is an amazing place to swim
Ana started her holistic journey after moving back to Barcelona and working in a very fast-paced environment, with long hours and stress involved. Yoga became then part of her life, to find a better balance. After many years of practicing yoga, she decided to leave the corporate world for a different, more fulfilling work and life.
Yoga has been a constant practice for Leo for over 10 years now. He started practicing yoga in Chile, where he was from and finally became a yoga teacher two years ago. He obtained his certification (200 hours) in Mysore, India. He also followed special training and workshops with recognized teachers around the world. His classes of Hatha Vinyasa are very dynamic and strongly inspired by the Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga method. Postures are developed through movements that interlink one asana from another, focusing on the use of breathing and bandhas.
Mar began practicing yoga 10 years ago. She found Ashtanga yoga that gave her discipline and changed completely her life so she dived into the knowledge of the practice and became a 500-hour Ashtanga teacher. She does also have extensive studies about the Chakras.
Arianna Piroddi is graduated in Design, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. She discovered yoga back in 2015 in London, where she was living then. The journey of discovering - the tangible and intangible, the inner and outer world - guided by art, movement, and much more began in the primary years of her life. Arianna Piroddi is a 250-hour Yoga Alliance certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher from Milan. Yoga is a constant journey. The important thing is to start the journey, then the breath will guide us in the best direction.
My name is Ana, I was born in Barcelona and I discovered yoga for the first time when I was studying Art History at university. Mostly, the type of yoga in my classes will be Hatha Vinyasa. Ha means “sun” and tha means “moon”. The aim of Hatha Yoga is balancing lunar energy and solar energy, yin and yang, femenine and masculine. This type of yoga is energizing and balancing. Generally, we will practice it in the Vinyasa style so it’s a dynamic practice with a part of stretching and relaxation. I’m thankful for every person willing to receive my practice and learn with me. See you soon!

Formentera is a smaller island with white sandy long beaches to dream for, coves and cliffs, and possibly the most turquoise waters of the Mediterranean.
