Katie (Surya) Chong

Surya is a well-trained and certified teacher in Hatha and Sivananda yoga. She has completed a 30-day intensive teacher training course and received a yoga teacher certification from a Sivananda Ashram at the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains in October 2009. She has taught in New Zealand after she completed her teacher course. She further studied with her interest in Yin Yoga and completed 50hours of Yin Yoga and mindfulness course at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with Yin Mindfulness Immersion in Dec 2016 and Meridian Series May 2018.

Frédérique Suriya

Frédérique Suriya is a passionate and holistic aromatherapist originally from Marseille, France. Trained and graduated since 2013 with Lydia Bosson, Usha Veda, in Switzerland and Gabriel Mojay, Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy, in London, she lives a simple and rich life in the jungle of Malaysia and has done so for the past 15 years. She knows how to share her love for nature and aromatics with great enthusiasm.

Wonderful connection to the Nature. Water sound, birds singing, cute squirrels brought an extra plus to this retreat. Agnes Tan & myself learnt a lot at the aromatherapy workshops and its connection in meditation.

A successful and satisfying experience at yoga retreat held by Katie, our Jade Hills yoga instructor. The environment was breath-taking, surrounded by trees, fruits, a stream of water, wooden man-made bridges, squirrels, monkeys, etc. The two-day program covered 12 asana pose, talk on proper breathing, relaxation, meditation, Satsang, theories, and benefits of each pose, etc. I truly learned a lot. Hope for more yoga retreat!
