Yoga Thym offers a family-like welcome into their home with great food and hospitality. Enjoy a daily routine of guided meditation, gentle Zen yoga, life-changing workshops, yoga Nidra all included in the price. During this retreat, you will stay at Nikki's home, a quaint 300-year-old farmhouse set in the peace and tranquility of the Breton countryside. Surrounded by four acres of private farmland, Nikki has lived here for over twenty years with her parents, Sylvie and Laurie, and their two little family pet dogs.
The ground floor offers two double bedrooms used for single occupancy, comfortably decorated with French-style double beds, and a large shared family bathroom (toilet, wet-room style shower, and deep bath).
The first floor has a large open planned kitchen/diner with a huge oak farmhouse table seating up to twelve, a utility with washing machine, a garden room used as a quiet space for reading, a salon with wood burner, and double French doors leading to the terraced garden featuring a wisteria pergola, plunge pool, hot tub, and garden furniture. The immediate enclosed garden is full of colored flowers, trees, and secret areas to explore during the pauses and relaxation breaks.
Across the driveway is the Lodge, a converted stone-built stable block. The ground floor is now an open-planned yoga and workshop space with a small lounging area for breaks, a shower room with toilet. The upper floor has two double bedrooms, for single occupancy, a shared bathroom with bath and sink, a separate toilet, and Nikki's private treatment room. Within one kilometer, is a green route which is perfect for meditation walks in the beautiful countryside.
Staying with Nikki is a wonderful experience that goes far beyond any yoga retreat. Although both yoga and meditation are important aspects of a lifestyle that changes your views on the world, this retreat is about a journey that takes you to the heart of your emotions, thoughts, decisions, and passions too so you can gain deeper clarity, and leave feeling refreshed, back in control with a toolbox brimming with new and familiar ideas to keep you de-stress, and able to cope with modern living.

This workshop is a journey into the subconscious mind to find programs that are running and possibly ruining any chances in life. The most important 40 minutes of the day This is an opportunity to understand the science behind changing every aspect of life and the phenomenal difference this can really make.
Through this workshop, we look into vibrational frequencies of the human body (what makes one person charismatic and another draining) and how we can unblock and raise this unseen energy to balance and enhance life.

Meet your instructor - Nikki. With more than 19 years of experience in holistic therapies, she'll give you her full attention, insight and energy. Possibly your most intriguing benefit will be the vibrant momentum that Yoga Thym generates, leading you to wanting to develop your new skills even further. She has studied, over a number of years, with some great pioneers in their relevant fields from Christine Sapford (aromatherapy), Ganga White & Tracy Rich (yoga), Phoebe Diftler (Thai Yoga Massage); Daizan Skinner Roshi; Star Khechara, U.K (cosmetology); Dr. Steve G. Jones, U.S.A (hypnotherapy).
This journey of peace, clarity, and inspiration to transform your mind and body is set among idyllic rural countryside in north-west France. The region is known as La Pays de le Loire. Whether you arrive by plane, train, or car, the venue is easily accessible from the U.K. or Europe. Chateaubriant is a large market town situated between the cities of Rennes in the north and Nantes to the south.
Chateaubriant is always visible on route maps due to its remarkable history in royal connections, resistance during world war two, Victor Hugo, and, of course, the Chateaubriant steak. You can rest, relax, and rejuvenate among rolling hills and private fishing lakes, only a five minute drive from the center of town. The retreat venue is located 5 minutes to a large shopping area.

On a Yoga Thym retreat, even the delicious vegetarian meals are part of the program. Known locally as the queen of puddings, Sylvie, will provide you with an array of wonderful dishes that will tempt and tantalize your senses.
Between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., enjoy a buffet-style breakfast in the farmhouse kitchen/ diner, choosing from cereals, yogurts, fruit, toast with homemade jams, croissants, and pain au chocolates.
Mouth-wateringly scrumptious lunches are served al fresco during the summer months between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. A satisfying supper and delicious dessert is ready around 7 p.m. with an optional glass of local wine. Everything is lovingly prepared using only the fresh of ingredients that are locally sourced, many of them are grown by Laurie on our own veggie patch. All beverages including tea, coffee, fruit teas, water, soft drinks, chocolate, and fruit juice are available throughout the day too.
Your day is organized to obtain maximum results during your short stay. However, Yoga Thym has a well-stocked library with every book genre to choose from. Most guests love relaxing in the beautiful garden with a book or taking a nap in the warm sunshine. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking, so a stroll along the 'green-route' is a favorite, too. There is time to take a refreshing dip in the plunge pool, while watching the International Space Station orbit overhead or stargaze at the clear night skies, perfect for chilling.
At an additional price, you can choose from a number of relaxing treatments or private life coaching sessions.
Nantes Atlantique Airport
Please book your flight to arrive at Nantes Atlantique Airport (NTE) or Rennes-Saint-Jacques Airport (RNS). These airports are used by the low-cost airlines like EasyJet, Flybe, Ryanair, as well as the larger airlines too. Transfer from and to any of these airports is included in your Yoga Thym retreat.
From the U.K., the nearest port to the retreat is Saint-Malo, on Brittany Ferries. The onward journey takes about one hour and a half by car. Alternatively, you can also cross the Channel from Newhaven to Dieppe on DFDS, with an onward journey of about five hours. The autoroutes in France are excellent and with GPS coordinates, finding the venue has never been easier.
You can take the train to Paris, then to Rennes, and lastly to Chateaubriant. This is bookable as a direct journey (one ticket) with no more than 30 minutes between trains (Paris, Rennes). If you board in London, a train ride to Chateaubriant takes around five hours. Yoga Thym will pick you up at the Chateaubriant train station.
