During this course, you will be staying at The Mandala Resort in Mandrem, North Goa. Situated in a quiet natural reserve just 200 meters to Asvem Beach and 45 minutes from Goa International Airport (GOI). The center has three yoga practice places. The rooms are unique and very comfortable. You will have the possibility to choose from a shared or a private room.
All the rooms are very comfortable and with a unique design. The resort has a vegetarian restaurant with lots of delicious foods and three locations where you can practice yoga. The staff at the Mandala Resort is very helpful and is always at your service. There are only 12 places left. Priority will be given to private room booking.

To teach yoga well, verbal communication must be consistent and with a physical demonstration. The basic terms of anatomy describe the positioning and movement of the human form in three-dimensional space. With clarity and consistency, you will develop the self-confidence that comes from knowing rather than guessing. The limitations of the body must be respected for progress in asana. For these physical limitations, anatomy provides the answers.
Bones, muscles, and tissues have various inherent properties relevant to physical strength and flexibility. In fact, the riddle of the many and varied asanas can be comprehended by knowing which areas of the body are being targeted by the different poses. By studying the articulations of the body, the different types of movements can possibly be understood.
The two-hour morning asana classes will explore the progression from guided practice to self-practice. You will use three phases during the course. The first phase will contain teaching exercises to give an all inclusive beginners standard. The poses chosen are simple and essential and the technique is performed in an easy way. Phase two is for your personal practice development. The poses are much more challenging, exciting, and fun. This is the time to examine and learn the Sukhashanti approach.
Culminating in week four, phase three develops your ideal asana form. Drawing from the anatomical information and the philosophy of yoga practice, you can now make informed and reasonable choices to make yoga safe and sustainable. For some aspects, this means achieving transformative aspirational goals and perhaps, more importantly, to manage and protect the challenging areas and allow healing.
To make the most of your experience during the RYT 200 course, there will be preparatory work and a post-course integration process. Once you are accepted into this program, you will have to read a list of documents about the anatomy and the philosophy of yoga, together with brief written assignments. Completing these assignments before you begin, will give you a basic preparation to take in the theoretical classes.
To communicate through touch is an essential skill for yoga teachers. The voice is a two way street of energy flowing through the sensor. It takes wisdom for a skilled teacher to maintain their center and dance with the transferred energy. You will learn adjustments during teaching methodology, but this special module will help tune you into a hidden psychological realm.
The program is designed for you to gain the skill, knowledge, and experience required to be an informed and confident teacher of Hatha yoga. Ethics applies philosophy and here lies the link between practice and exposition. It is the knowledge of the meaning of yoga, hand in hand with the experience of self-practice and the skill to communicate with others. The right tools and the right experience allows you to be an authentic teacher.
The process will begin with fully guided practice and gradually develop to self-practice. The Sukhashanti approach uses shifting points of focus, gradually covering the layers of manifest consciousness. Eventually, you will identify consciousness as the source. For this important practice, you will take the seated position developed in asana and bring out the steadiness of the body. You will then use pranayama techniques to make the breath even and minimal and begin to calm and soothe the mind.
From this base, you will begin to learn Dharuna using the Sukhashanti method of taking many points of focus for short periods. Lengthening the period of concentration and keeping the point of focus fixed, it will bring you to Dhyana. Samadhi arises out of awareness and it is a natural consequence of practice. Through meditation, liberation is possible in a way that asana and pranayama are rarely achieved.
For this module, you will read and chant the first two chapters of the two-thousand-year-old Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra text. Patanjali describes the nature of the mind and the soul and explains how yoga works through the mind to “see the soul”. Here, Patanjali discusses the meditation practice as an antidote to suffering.
This text examines the nature of your existence. It is a practical manual discussing yoga in terms of the quality of the state of mind. To relate to the text it is necessary to have some experience with meditation practice. The theory may be used as an aid to achieving self-practice of meditation.
By gradually lengthening the breath, you can slow down your heart rate and eventually your brain's metabolic rate, evoking a profound state of relaxation. Pranayama gives you the tools to reprogram your body's response to stress with a direct feedback system. This ancient art is inseparable from meditation and yet is much more approachable for lay practitioners.
These afternoon sessions offer you a chance to examine and dissect the poses and the links between. You will examine alignment principles, adjustments, and modifications to deepen the palette of tones and textures allowing you to adapt your teaching to suit your individual needs. The poses will be demonstrated and explained and then practiced.
Beginning with baby steps, you will teach single poses to one other person. Building day by day, you will be introduced to more poses and longer sequences. Also, each day you will repeat the material from the previous day gradually bridging the gaps until the whole practice becomes seamless.
Vocalize is the ability to talk clearly and with confidence speaks volumes about the inner experience of the teacher. Establishing a knowledge base from the fields of anatomy, philosophy, and the technical art of teaching helps a lot, but there is something else that brings it all together into an energetic sense experience. The secret is to feel your emotions within the field of your body and connect directly with the resonance of your voice. Creating a whole-body vibration allows this connection.
The course will start November 4, at 6 a.m and finish on November 30, at 6 p.m.
By the end of this course, you will receive a Yoga Alliance certification in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. This teacher training program is internationally accredited and recognized as a valid qualification for Yoga Alliance RYT 200 registration. The successful completion of the course requires 90 percent of the attendance to classes, the completion of all written assignments, and the attempt to teach a 90-minute class. The combination of the 180 contact hours, together with coordinated home study and practice, make this course exceed greatly the minimum requirements.
Noah’s journey with yoga began with regular Iyengar classes, in Adelaide. He took his first trip to India in 1995 and in 2003 began practicing daily meditation and pranayama. It took him 10 years of practicing asana to feel comfortable and worthwhile to start teaching yoga classes. Noah spent many years studying and practicing yoga, living mostly in India. Sparseness and simplicity have been his longtime teachers, making his way as a yoga teacher and as a yoga therapist.
From her very birth, Radha always felt a strong inclination towards the arts and the spiritual path. She has always been guided by a universal vision that has allowed her to gain experience in various disciplines such as sciences and philosophies including Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Shamanism, Mysticism, and Metaphysics. Radha was also initiated into the science of Kundalini Reiki meditation and visualization. Among various methods of meditation, she has given particular sustained focus to the practice of Japa, Bhakti yoga, which resumes to the continuous recitation of mantras.
Mehdi is a healer, poet, performer, and eternal traveler inspired by all his destinations. He was a salsa, contemporary, and hip hop dancer before he dived into a personal quest opening his horizons to practices such as yoga, martial arts, circus, theatre, poetry, intuitive healing touch, tantra, and tarot. His teaching and performing experience with AcroContact, while traveling over the world, has given him a deep and solid understanding of the essence of your being and your existence in the Universe, in harmony with the inner and outside world.
