It is a bamboo thatched eco-lodge that provides shade over a luxurious Rajasthani hunting tent with two adjoining rooms built from mud, stones and coconut wood.
This price of this retreat includes a shared accommodation in a triple room at Yoga Magic. Shared twin room and single accommodation may be available at another nearby venue (price and venue still to be determined). Techniques of yoga - 95 hours
Asana, pranayama, meditation, sequencing, and satsang.
Teaching methodology - 30 hours
Yoga Synergy method of teaching, adjustments for standing poses, floor poses, inversions, backbends. Modifications for injuries and special conditions. Learning how to cue movement, pace class and the use of props. Learn how to teach beginners with effective communication.
Anatomy and physiology - 35 hours
Basics of skeletal, muscular, respiratory, cardiovascular anatomy, injury and recovery, esoteric anatomy including chakras, nadis, prana, and bandha, anatomy of adjustments.
Philosophy, ethics and lifestyle - 30 hours
Basic yoga philosophy, Yoga Sutra of Patanjali, Bhagavad Gita, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Advaita Vedanta, Tantra and Ethics of being a yoga teacher.
Group practicum and presentation skills - 10 hours
Student observing, teaching, assisting in classes and presentation of assignments to group.
Each week will be approximately five full days, one half day, and one day off. This retreat will includes variety of topics throughout the four weeks in the 14:00 to 18:00 time-slot. The following is the basic schedule which varies slightly as benefits the group and may need to be varied depending on weather.
During the teacher training you have one full day off and one half day.
Bianca has been teaching since 1993. She is a registered physiotherapist, research scientist and graduate of the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation. Bianca started practicing yoga in 1989, assisting Simon in 1991 and teaching her own classes after five years intensive practice in 1993. She was initially instructed by Andrew Nethery and Simon Borg Olivier before undertaking intensive studies with Natanaga Zhander (Shandor Remete). Her areas of specialty are treating musculoskeletal problems, providing exercise-based physiotherapy, and pregnancy yoga.
Simon Borg-Olivier MSc BAppSc (Physiotherapy) is a Co-Director of Yoga Synergy, one of Australia's oldest and most respected yoga schools. The Yoga Synergy style is based on a deep understanding of yoga anatomy, yoga physiology and traditional Hatha Yoga. Simon has been teaching since 1982. He is a registered physiotherapist, a research scientist and a university lecturer. As well as teaching both group and individual classes through Yoga Synergy, he also teaches regularly at workshops and conferences both nationally and internationally.

Daily delicious vegetarian meals are provided during the teacher training except on days off. Breakfast will be included on the half day.
Book a flight to Dabolim (GOI) airport. The airport is an hour drive from Yoga Magic. There is plenty of direct charter flights available to Goa from all over Europe. For more information, please send Yoga Synergy a message.
There are two trains a day from Mumbai to Thivim (Goa): early morning train for anyone who seeks stunning views of India, and late evening for the sleeper. The journey takes about twelve hours. Food is available onboard.
Mumbai and Trivandrum trains arrive at Thivim, its about 30 minutes drive from Yoga Magic.
Bangalore and Delhi trains arrive at Margao, about two hours drive from Yoga Magic. Make sure you book your train tickets at least two weeks before your journey.
