After a year hiatus, Yoga Squirrels is very pleased to announce the seventh annual New Year's Joshua Tree retreat! Looking for something awesome to do to bring in the new year? Spend it in the beautiful Joshua Tree National Park. Join an amazing group of like-minded individuals as you explore your true intentions, play in the high desert, do yoga, rock climb, and explore AcroYoga.
You will have a big space with a dome (with blankets and pillows), a carport "shala" or yoga space, restrooms nearby (toilets, no running water or showers but with scented candles), picnic tables, and a camp kitchen (not for personal use but you are welcomed to bring your stove).
You will also have coffee and hot water available in the mornings and water throughout the day. You will be responsible for setting up your tent, but Yoga Squirrels is happy to help you. They have tents, sleeping bags or pads, etc. available for rent.
If you want a healthy, fun, outdoorsy, and inspiring way to bring in the new year with a community of like-minded folks, this is your jam. Join Yoga Squirrels amongst the rocks and stars to nourish your physical, mental, and emotional body with the simple joys of life in nature and good company.
This will be a very special time of sharing in the magical high desert landscape of Joshua Tree to play, learn, reflect, grow, and connect through our favorite practices: Camping, Yoga, Acro yoga, Thai massage, climbing, and community fun!
This retreat is designed for anyone with enthusiasm for community and adventure. The rock climbing, yoga, and Acroyoga are suitable for beginner to intermediate skill levels, though you will still learn much no matter what your ability is.
Casey is born and raised in Northridge California. She is a yoga guide, AcroYoga pilot, Thai Massage practitioner, co-founder of Yoga Squirrel, rock climber, surfer, slackliner, artist, a lover of dogs (mainly mine Cousteau), a daughter, a friend, a woman, and a human being.
Imported from the French Alps, aged in the Southern Sierras. If you've ever met Sonia, you may have noticed that she loves being upside-down. She was a gymnast growing up, and her mom introduced yoga to the family when she was in high school. Since 2007, yoga and AcroYoga have shaped her life in many ways. These practices gave her a home, friendships around the world, and tools to live her life to the fullest. As well as an abundance in community and human connection, her path has been enriched by training and learning various disciplines with many master teachers.
Food includes 3 meals/day beginning with breakfast on the 28th of December and ending with brunch or lunch on the 1st of January.
