I am so grateful to Ana, Alberto & Saraswati for the unique experience they provided for me. Learning Spanish in a natural, family environment, as well as challenging my yoga practice, was an ideal break for me. The week was tailored to my needs and requests & I benefited from a variety of different yoga practices & Spanish lessons & conversation which allowed me to develop my understanding & learn better Spanish expression!

Ana’s yoga is intuitive, authentic & personal. The yoga experience was highly individual. Not only physically beneficial, but I was also moved spiritually.

Furthermore, I had great fun improving my Spanish with Alberto. He made lessons & conversation interesting. I had lots of fun and made progress, without feeling embarrassed at making many mistakes!

Alberto & Ana’s enthusiasm, knowledge & attention to detail are second to none. They have put much thought into the programme, allowing time to relax & benefit from the yoga practice, but also to build your Spanish skills & learn much about the unique historical & cultural context of the region through many different experiences.

By far the most touching aspect of the retreat was that I really felt part of the family. It is not often that you meet people who pull you in & make you feel like you really belong. I feel truly blessed to have spent time with the family. And, if you are really lucky, Saraswati might even flamenco dance!!

"A overall FANTASTIC experience!!!"

The experience was continually enhanced by the feelings of hospitality and concern for our comfort that was provided by people who appeared to live their lives that way. There was never a moment when the hosts did not seem to be delighted that we were in their home. The instructors were serious about the quality of the yoga and providing access to as many Spanish lessons as we could absorb. The Spanish instructor’s ability was enhanced because he is qualified to teach English to Spanish speakers. A tremendous bonus was the intellectual level of the hosts (plus their extensive travel experience) which led to an entertaining discussion at each meal. The fruit-dominated breakfasts on the porch facing the mountains were particularly memorable. The program included visiting sites in the Alpujarra and learning about the area’s culture. The yoga instructor (and graduate history student) gave an informative lecture on the history of flamenco. There is lots of opportunity for pleasant social interaction at the retreat and solitude is easily achieved by simply going upstairs or going for a hike around the property. The yoga, the Spanish lessons and the opportunity for vegetarian cooking lessons are provided as advertised. What one remembers are the two rare individuals that provide these services.

"Mindful time in the Sierra Navada Valley"

I fully enjoyed my 5 days spent with Ana and Alberto in the peaceful surroundings of the Sierra Nevada Valley. It was truly restorative & mindful time for me - I could stop, relax, reflect and just simply “be”. Ana and Alberto created a little oasis of peace where one can forget about every day life and problems and focus on what is really important. Really appreciated the mindfulness program with breathing techniques, yoga, coaching and plenty of interesting deep conversations - everything was personalized to my needs and rhythm which made the whole experience even more impactful and unique. During all my stay I felt like a part of Ana & Alberto’s family - we were walking, talking, chilling outside, meeting their nice friends and enjoying the delicious home made food prepared by Alberto from vegetables and fruit coming straight from their garden.

I am very happy to meet these warm, kind and generous people and I recommend the experience to anyone who needs a little pause in life.

"The best way to connect with your authentic self"

I had the most amazing time! I did a digital detox and was on the destress program where I did yoga every morning and breathing and meditation every evening.

Being offline, eating amazing food, and practicing yoga, breathing, and meditation really allowed me to align and connect with my true essence. I become so comfortable in my body and truly made friends with my thoughts. I didn’t allow them to consume me but became mindful about them.

Ana and Alberto are amazing hosts and welcomed me into their home. They made feel extremely comfortable and there was no pressure or anything. We had great conversations about life, farming, yoga and so much more. Our conversation that were not only interesting, mentally stimulating but gave me a great perspective on the simple life and what is at the core of leaning into joy and being happy.

I can’t wait to go back! 100/10 would recommend.

La paz del lugar, la amabilidad y amor de los anfitriones, la calidad de las clases de yoga y de la comida. Las conversaciones fueron muy interesantes y nutritivas y la sesión de couching me gustó mucho, fue de gran ayuda.

"Una experiencia maravillosa"

Unos días con yoga y meditación excepcionales. Me han encantado las mañanas de yoga con Ana, que es una instructora maravillosa. El entorno es muy bonito, muy tranquilo. Es también un lugar perfecto para senderismo o unas escapadas a los pueblos vecinos, muy bonitos. Ana y Alberto son muy amables y te hacen sentir parte de la familia. La comida es absolutamente magnífica, preparada con productos locales y de la propia finca, ecológicos - increíblemente bueno todo! El trato es realmente muy personalizado, lo que añade mucho valor a toda la experiencia. Estoy muy agradecida y feliz por haber elegido este lugar para mis vacaciones, me quedo con muchos recuerdos y inspiraciones. Muchas gracias por todo!

"Gran experiencia"

Disfrutamos muchísimo de las clases de yoga, de las relajaciones y de la instrucción en general; creemos que Ana es una maestra increíble, y nos hizo llegar exactamente la visión sobre el yoga que buscábamos, no simplemente un repaso de posturas, sino una visión real y de conjunto de qué es el yoga, de por qué, de cómo. Por mi parte, disfruté personalmente mucho también subiendo al Pico Veleta con Alberto, y tanto mi chica como yo disfrutamos también de una excursión con él a Pampaneira.

La comida fue deliciosa, volver a probar el sabor de verduras, frutas, y productos de huerto fue un inmenso placer por parte de los dos. La piscina está estupenda también, y el alojamiento es precioso. Todo el entorno cuadra con la práctica del yoga y con unas vacaciones de verdad, con aislarte unos días del mundo y disfrutar de la vida en otro formato.

Además, tenemos que destacar la hospitalidad que recibimos por parte de Alberto, Ana y Saraswati, y la paciencia que tuvieron con nuestro perro fue maravillosa, destacable, sinceramente; y muy importante para nosotros.

Nos hemos sentido como en casa, y esperamos poder repetir! En general, me parece que lo que escribamos aquí no expresará bien la gratitud que sentimos. Ha sido un inmenso placer conoceros, y recibir el trato agradable, educado, paciente, amable y sincero que hemos recibido. La vida es mejor cuando conoces a personas así. Muchas gracias.

"Retiro de conexión absoluta."

La verdad que mi experiencia superó todas las expectativas que llevaba por completo, como viaje que buscaba de retiro espiritual y total conexión. Se respira un ambiente familiar muy agradable.

La experiencia de yoga fue magnífica, junto con los conocimientos y el saber de Ana en sus clases son tremendamente completas.

Con una experiencia amplísima en este mundo dado que estuvo mucho años junto con Alberto en la India y otros países formándose y aprendiendo.

La comida es excelente, con una mano en la cocina de Alberto magnífica, es todo comida vegetariana muy diversa y de primerísima calidad, dado que tienen un amplio huerto en el cortijo y que comes los productos que salen de la Tierra.

Estás en plena y absoluta naturaleza con una tranquilidad tan absoluta que desconectas mentalmente por completo.

Las vistas que tienen en sus terrazas para los huéspedes son mágicas, esas puestas de sol, y atardeceres... como los echaré de menos.

Recomiendo que quien busque hacer un paréntesis en su vida y quieran desconectar por completo de todo, éste sin duda es lugar de retiro.

Me han echo sentir como uno más de la familia y eso es bastante complicado dado que el retiro no dura meses.

Yo desde luego me e ido con estas sensaciones y con un amplio conocimiento del Yoga.

El enclave es un lugar tranquilo donde realizar un retiro en plena naturaleza. Y la atención de Ana y Alberto espectacular, te hacen sentir en familia. A nivel de práctica de yoga igual de estupendo, te sientes en buenas manos.
