Certification
Students who complete their subsequent training of 200 RYT Hours are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance USA or Yoga Alliance Professionals UK as 500 RYT Yoga Teachers.
About the training
In order to fulfill the requirements of the Yoga Alliance, this program is made for people who have a real desire to learn and to progress with stable physical and mental health. Yoga Skyros Academy reserves the right to refuse during check-in in case the program does not match the requirements of the student.
The training is for an experienced yoga teacher and requires a clear understanding of Yamas and Niyamas. The student has to be of sound character and mentally stable. This teacher training is not a retreat and is for mature yoga teachers.
Each class has a maximum of ten students and this will give you the privilege to be closer to your master and understand not only a commercial approach to yoga but also the essence and transformation of the powerful yoga science.
Yoga Skyros IKE believes in quality instead of quantity.
This certification is to upgrade you to a new level of yoga understanding and enables you to talk and teach the theory. It is the starting block to becoming a master and being able to certify other teachers by adding the required hours of teaching. Please note that you need to present your 200-hour RYT certification as the prerequisite of this program.
The academy is based on the concept of small classes with a maximum of 10 students, high-quality teaching, better learning and understanding, and a better connection to your consciousness and inner peace. The following are just some aspects of the topics that you will cover during the program:
- Delve into yoga ethics and the student-teacher relationship
- Discover and study Patanjali’s eight limbs
- Explore the history of yoga with the ancient text of the masters
- Hone your presentation and communication skills so that you can deliver a class in a concise manner and connect with all students
- Integrate and add-on about alignment and assisting within the specs of 300-RYT
- Integrate and add on basic physiology and anatomy related to yoga within the specs of 300-RYT
- Integrate and add on how to give safe and effective hands-on adjustment, and also about the different styles and intentions of touch within the specs of 300-RYT
- Integrate and add on how to market yourself and learn the business side of running an effective yoga studio
- Integrate and add on how to read bodies, physically and emotionally, as well as the energy of the group or individual within the specs of 300-RYT
- Integrate and add on how to sequence asanas in a fluid manner and unite breathing with movement
- Integrate and add-on chakras and koshas Science according to the specs of 300-RYT
- Integrate and add on how to teach with your voice and your hands, how to encourage and inspire people, and how to use your body language to enhance a class within the specs of 300-RYT
- Integrate and add on the basics of the transformation; without this knowledge, no transformation can be achieved according to the requirements of 300-RYT
- Integrate and add-on to apply yoga for specific ailments such as back pain, anti-ageing, sleeping disorder, weight loss, depression, menopause or hormone balancing, and arthritis, which is the speciality of Yoga Skyros IKE and according to the 300-RYT
- Study 50 more asanas to upgrade from the 32 experienced and learned of the 200-RYT
- Case study of ailments and apply the proper asanas and design sequences
- Master now to verbally lecture about the yoga science
- Preparation and skill to create workshops for the different yoga topics

As of October 22, 2022, Yoga Skyros is happy to inform you about the move to 16674 Glyfada, 113 Agisilaou, which is placed between 2.5 km to the sea and 0.5 km to the Mountain Illias.
Glyfada is the South Part of Athens and is easy to find and easy to get into Athens as well. It is the Greek Riviera with high-class walking and shopping, and restaurants of all cuisines. Within 300 m there are supermarkets and coffee shops all necessary to spend your time between studying yoga and enjoying the Greek lifestyle.
The Temple of Hatha Yoga remains the same; a beautiful yoga room with wooden floors and balconies all around. The rooftop will host external yoga classes with a view of the Sea.
