This module is designed to create an opportunity to help you develop safe and appropriate means of increasing your students strength and flexibility to support their ascent towards childbirth and beyond. Jacqueline Purnell has put together a program which combines asanas, breath work, and mudras to optimize safety and fluidity within the specialized teaching.
All bedrooms have an en suite or private bathroom. All bedrooms have double beds, except for one room which has twin beds. There is Wi-Fi throughout the property.

This module is suitable for existing yoga teachers who wish to integrate pregnant women into their general classes and those who wish to offer classes and/or courses to pregnant women and baby and me classes and/or courses.
Participants should have completed a 200-hour Teacher Training diploma or equivalent. This module is also suitable for midwives, doulas and anyone involved in Obstetrics, childbirth education, and other pregnancy health professionals with a committed yoga practice of at least 2 years.
Please note that for those who have not completed a Level 1 Yoga Alliance Registered Training, or registered with Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level, you will receive a graduation certificate from Yoga Shala Ibiza upon completion of this training, but you will not be able to register with Yoga Alliance as a prenatal yoga teacher.
Forward and backward bends, rotations, inversions, standing postures and arm-stretching Asanas.
At the beginning of the module, participants are encouraged to examine their own strengths and weaknesses and to develop a personal set of goals regarding the specialty of teaching pregnancy and postnatal recovery yoga.
There is a crying need for pregnancy and postnatal recovery yoga classes. We aim to set out basic guidelines for setting up and running pregnancy classes and classes for babies and mums.
Lots of expecting mums are referred to by their midwives and doctors and during their yoga sessions they have the opportunity to develop a profound bond with their unborn child.
As well as enhancing the vitality, mobility, general health, and emotional wellbeing of the expectant mother, pregnancy yoga also provides a valuable quiet space in which to develop their relationship with the baby inside.
Once those babies are born, we owe it to them and their mothers to give them the chance to continue to develop that bond through yoga, promoting postnatal wellbeing for mother and child.
It is a special kind of work, and we need more teachers who are able to run these kinds of classes.
An important aspect of the role of the yoga teacher in both pre and postnatal work is to mother the mother. For both the expectant and the new mother, her yoga class can be a time to rest in the assurance that she is in safe hands, and that the experience and training of the teacher can allow her to enjoy the sense of being cared for, understood, supported, and encouraged in her role as mother.

The luxurious villa sits in an idyllic, heavenly spot, super high above the village of Sant Lorrenc (San Lorenzo) with stunning panoramic views over the ambrosial land of Ibiza and out to the Mediterranean Sea and to the nearby Island of Formentera.
Set within 6 acres of land, there is plenty to explore including a hill walk leading to one of the most beautiful sunset views. Cosy in the wintertime, the house is centrally heated and feels warm and homely. There is a warm and welcome atmosphere. We get many of warm, sun filled days in Ibiza in the winter so when the sun is out, there are plenty of outdoor spaces around the beautiful infinity pool for relaxing and soaking up the rays.
The light brunch and dinner are prepared using the finest available ingredients, including homegrown organic produce.
Although the focus is on yoga, while you are in Ibiza, you can take the opportunity to experience aquatic sports, such as windsurfing and sub-aqua diving, in the beautiful clear sea, as well as hiking and horse-riding. It is very easy to commute around the island by bus and small ferries, and we can provide local knowledge to help you find your way around Ibiza on your days off.
