Nepal is a magical place, with a deep and rich spiritual energy. With the Himalayan mountains on your doorstep, this retreat is a chance to immerse yourself in that energy - to find a connection to something truly meaningful. To see and experience the path of yogis, old and new, and discover for yourself the essence of the clear, awakened mind.
The resort is built in a traditional Newari style, surrounded by organic farmland, flower gardens, and forest, where they encourage sustainable methods of cultivation as well as preserving the natural wildlife habitat.
On your last night, you will stay at Boudhanath, one of the most sacred places for Buddhists. This accommodation is a little more simple, and only a 15-minute drive from the airport.
All shared accommodation has single beds. The large and medium cottages are very spacious.
Most mornings will begin with 60-75 minute Vinyasa (flow) practice to get the body moving and the mind awake and ready for the day. In the afternoons, you will practice a lighter Yin class.
Your meditation sessions will follow the teachings on compassion and kindness, which come from the Mahayana Buddhist school of thought training. These will be in the morning and evening.
The Buddha of compassion – Chenrezig – holds a special place in Tibetan Buddhism. You will learn and practice the tantra associated with this deity at the Resort and then utilize aspects when you go to visit holy places.
On this retreat, you will practice yoga, meditation, and pranayama - the usual things - but you will also take the practice to very special places. Ancient places are full of the energy of past and present yogis.
Each location has some spiritual meaning and benefit. Your focus will be to develop an inner awareness of compassion and kindness towards yourselves and others. Through this practice, you will come to know more happiness and ease in life.
Be prepared to meditate mindfully and allow the beauty of these places to infuse inspiration to propel you further on your yogic journey.
This retreat has a strong spiritual focus but rest assured, you will still have the opportunity to relax, explore, and buy those perfect little gifts for yourself and others.
Day trips to practice yoga, meditation, and more at different locations. You will visit seven places in total:
