We have enjoyed a great variety of workshops at our Glasshouse Mountains Retreats. Come and join us at the Eco Lodge, set amidst two hectares of gardens, a rainforest creek and exotic tropical orchard, its only fifteen minutes from Caboolture, but a million miles from your cares. We are making plans to celebrate 2017, our 12th year of hosting at the Eco Lodge. Join us for a weekend of Yoga, Ayurvedic meals and soul nourishing workshops.
Glass House Mountains Eco Lodge is a peaceful and relaxing eco-friendly venue set in the heart of the Glass House Mountains in southeast Queensland, Australia.
This quirky site has a multitude of accommodation options including a beautifully renovated 1882 train carriage now fitted out with a cozy bedroom. Orchard view rooms, and a fully self-contained luxurious bungalow. There is also basic double and triple share rooms and another 60 year old renovated Queensland train carriage decked out for comfort and relaxation.
The Eco Lodge is a member of the International Eco Tourism Club which is a worldwide organization that actively promotes environmental awareness to travelers.
Jo will be sharing a variety of yoga workshops and inviting in guest facilitators to nurture your body, mind and soul. Together with Verena our cook we are introducing a brand new Ayurvedic menu. You’ll have a chance over the weekend to spend some time in the kitchen and discover some great new recipes.
Our weekend escape is set in the Glasshouse Mountains in southeast Queensland, Australia. The closest international airport is Brisbane International Airport.
From Brisbane: Travel north along the Bruce Highway (Highway 1, M1) for approximately 50 minutes and take the Steve Irwin Way exit on your left. About 7 kilometers from that turnoff Mt. Tibrogargan will appear on your left-hand side and about 3 kilometers from there turn left at the Mt Tibrogargan /Barrs Road sign. Cross over the railway line, turn left and the Ecolodge is 2 kilometers along Barrs Road on the right.
From the Sunshine Coast: Travelling south along the Bruce Highway (Highway 1, M1) take the Landsborough/Steve Irwin Way exit. Continue along this road for approximately 20 minutes travelling past Australia Zoo and Beerwah township. Look out for Matilda service station on the left then 400 metres past turn right into Barrs Road. Cross the rail tracks turn left and the Ecolodge is 2 kilometers along on the right hand side.
From Brisbane Airport: If driving follow the directions above by car, or catch the air train from the airport to the Eagle Junction station which is two stops and takes ten minutes. Transfer at Eagle Junction onto the Nambour/Gympie North line and leave the train at Glasshouse Mountains Railway station where we can pick you up by car with prior notice.
From the Sunshine Coast Airport, Mudjimba: Unfortunately there is limited public transport available to and from the airport so hiring a car is the easiest option. %Alternatively take a taxi to the Nambour Railway Station and travel by train from there to Glasshouse Mountains Railway Station.
Trains run several times each morning and afternoon from Brisbane to Glasshouse Mountains station on the Nambour/Gympie North line. The Ecolodge is 3 km from the station and we will collect guests that have given 24 hours’ notice.
It is possible to catch a train from the Brisbane airport to the Glasshouse Mountains train station. You need to change trains at either Eagle Junction or Bowen Hills station depending on the schedule for that day. Trains from the airport do not operate after 08:00 p.m. and there are limited services on weekends.
