During this retreat, you will be staying in a family-run and hosted villa with a sun terrace and pool, set just a short walk away from Moraira and the beach. The villa offers separate guest accommodations with a sitting room, dining area, and guest kitchen for making drinks and snacks.

Depending on the booked room, there are choices of single, twin with private use showers, or double rooms with en-suite. If you book a shared room, you will also share a bath or shower room. You may only book a shared room if you have a friend or partner who will come to the retreat with you.

Yoga Retreats Spain Yoga Holiday Program

During this retreat, you will be running lengths between 10 and 15 kilometers for three days. You have the option to take your breakfast before or after your run. You may decide to run as few or as many of these days as you wish. Yoga Retreats Spain will either take your lunch to you in a support vehicle or you could return to a delicious lunch prepared by the resident chef.

After your run, the rest of the day will be free for you to relax on the terrace by the pool or explore the town, which is just an eight-minute walk away. The yoga is designed with runners in mind. The level of yoga may be varied for groups, whilst guests are advised to stretch to their own ability. The yoga sessions will be in the evening, complementing the run so that your muscles are rejuvenated for the next day.

The yoga is suitable for both beginners and those with more experience. It is advised that runners have off-road experience for the trail running and be capable of running or have completed a half marathon. Yoga Retreats Spain may decide to divide the groups into levels of ability so you do not have to worry too much.


Anahita Csurilla
Anahita Csurilla qualified as a Hatha yoga teacher from Sivananda Yoga centre Budapest in 2010. Anahita has a master's degree in the Prana Nadi Method of natural healing and a level 4 master of competence since 2012. She has also attended Matra University of Alternative Science from 2009 to 2011 in Hungary. She also studied other forms of yoga including Vinyasa flow. Her Hatha yoga style is becoming more influenced by Therapy yoga and in her classes and workshops, she pays attention to the individual needs of her students, the chakras, and the health giving benefits with renewed energy flow.

Retreat location

This retreat will take place in the town of Moraira, a small coastal village, just north of Alicante, Spain. Set on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, away from mass tourism and off the beaten track, surrounded by orange and lemon groves, and cooled by the shade of a natural pine forest.

Moraira is known as the jewel of Costa Blanca, a true gift of the Mediterranean Sea. Being off the beaten track, away from mass tourism, many of the guests just do not want to leave, whilst many more return.

Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are included in the package. During the holiday, a variety of traditional home cooked food will be served daily, freshly prepared by the hosts. The daily meals may consist of salmon, chicken, beef mince, pasta, or rice along with fresh vegetables and salads, or a vegetarian option. There is only one daily meal option, but the hosts will always consult with everyone upon arrival about their favorite foods and cook accordingly, to suit everyone in the small group.

Groups may vary and you may be the only guest. The host will keep any single guest company, should they wish, or respect their privacy for those who wish time alone. Dinner usually consists of two courses, including a dessert. Yoga Retreat Spain will try to accommodate your dietary needs, likes, and dislikes. Vegan options, however, are regrettably cannot be accommodated.

The food will be of healthy Mediterranean diet with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Breakfast will be in self-service style, leaving you free to eat when you wish. There will be a selection of cereals, fresh baked croissants, honey, yogurt, marmalade, coffee, tea, or herbal teas. Drinking water is provided. Yoga Retreats Spain only asks you to wash up your own dishes after breakfast, as it can be taken at any time to suit each person.

You will either have lunch in a support vehicle or return to a delicious lunch prepared by the resident chef. A typical evening menu may consist of a homemade soup with fresh bread, lasagna, rice, salad, and steamed fruit in Cointreau with yogurt. Coffee and tea are available throughout the day. Yoga Retreats Spain will try to cater for all your dietary needs.

Yoga Retreats Spain respectfully asks you to wash up and tidy after eating or preparing any snacks, drinks, or any items of food you may have purchased during your stay, every day. This is to help keep the guest kitchen tidy at all times, out of respect for others.

After all other meals, the crockery will be taken away by the villa hosts for cleaning. This enables the hosts and you to coordinate as a team, in order to move quickly together to the next activity, either by walking or by car. The hosts are very much about family, teamwork, and sharing. Please note that you cannot expect for a hotel experience during your stay in the villa.

Spa treatments

Mini treatments are available locally in Moraira by appointment. For those who wish to have a treatment, to avoid disappointment, it is strongly suggested that these are booked at the beginning of the holiday as the studio gets very busy. There are too many treatments to list here with special offers and some prices change weekly. Yoga Retreats Spain will direct you to the studio, which is just a short walk from the villa.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC). You are responsible for confirming your own airport transfers, via mobile phone or online.

Arrival by bus

There is a daily bus service from the Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) to Moraira, but they do make stops and the journey may take two to two and a half hours from the airport.

Arrival by train

First you need to catch a taxi from the airport to the north end of Alicante about 25 minutes away. From there, you will find the train service, which calls at various towns along the coast, a picturesque and enjoyable journey. The trains run about every 30 minutes and are usually on time. Like buses, the journey may take two to two and a half hours from the airport, which will give you plenty of time to relax and read a book.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 30 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
