Our yoga fit holiday will allow you to make the most of the beautiful climate , beaches and seascape. Love the feel of exercising outdoors in sunny Spain.
During this retreat, you will be staying in a family-run, hosted villa with a sun terrace and pool, set just a short walk from Moraira and the beach. The villa offers separate guest accommodations with a sitting room, dining area, and guest kitchen for making drinks and snacks.
Depending on the rooms booked, there are choices of single room, twin room with private use showers, or a double room with en-suite. If you book a shared room, you will also share a bath or shower room. You may only book a shared room if you have a friend or partner who will come to the retreat with you.
Please note that currently, there is an intermittent building work adjacent to the retreat. You may hear some noise from the construction.
Our yoga fitness holiday is designed with you in mind to also include plenty or relaxation time too for the beach. All yoga and classes are optional. Most days you can wake when you wish and enjoy meal when hungry. All guests enjoy the evening meal together with a cheeky glass of wine if you wish. We welcome solo travelers and absolute beginners. If you wish time for reflection by myself then you can also enjoy time away quietly. This is a body loving yoga fit holiday to help build core strength with Pilates, body toning yoga and cardio both in the gym session and the guided walks available on the programme. When you are ready for some down time then try one of our nearby sandy beaches or, if you prefer pamper yourself at the beauty parlour for an optional treatment or explore the small boutiques for some retail therapy with a coffee stop at one of the many terraced street cafes.
This yoga holiday will be held in Moraira, Spain. Just 90 kilometers north of Alicante, on the coast via airport transfer, lies the pretty town of Moraira, a small beautiful port and marina town, known as the jewel of Costa Blanca, Spain. Moraira offers lovely chill out bars and cafes, excellent boutique shops, and delicious restaurants to suit all tastes, to those wishing to sample the local cuisine.
With an unhurried air and excellent energy, Moraira is perfect for people seeking relaxation. The family-run and hosted villa is located in a quiet cul de sac on an urbanization, only a short stroll to Moraira and the beach. Located near the sea, it is perfect for exploring the beautiful local coastline.
Mountains form the backdrop to the valley. The vineyards surrounding Moraira predominantly has the famous Muscatel grapes that make the sweet Spanish dessert wine, which are harvested around September. The Moraira town hall prides itself on being awarded the annual prestigious beaches EU blue flag classification, denoting its excellent facilities and cleanliness.
During the holiday, a variety of traditional home cooked food will be served daily, freshly prepared by the hosts. The daily meals may consist of salmon, chicken, beef mince, pasta, or rice, along with fresh vegetables and salads, or a vegetarian option. There is only one daily meal option but the hosts will always consult with everyone upon arrival about their favorite foods and cook accordingly, to suit everyone in the small group.
Groups may vary and you may be the only guest. The host will keep any single guest company, should they wish, or respect their privacy for those who wish time alone. Dinner usually consists of two courses, including a dessert. Yoga Retreats Spain will try to accommodate your dietary needs, likes, and dislikes. Vegan option, however, will regrettably not be accommodated.
Breakfast is a "help yourself" style to suit each guest. The meal may consist of cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, toast, and a choice of herbal teas and coffee. Drinking water is provided. Yoga Retreats Spain only asks you to wash up your own dishes after breakfast, as it can be taken at any time to suit each guest.
Yoga Retreats Spain respectfully asks you to wash up and tidy after eating or preparing any snacks, drinks, or any items of food you may have purchased during your stay, every day. This is to help keep the guest kitchen tidy at all times, out of respect for others.
After all other meals, the crockery will be taken away by the villa hosts for cleaning. This enables the hosts and you to coordinate as a team, in order to move quickly together to the next activity, either by walking or by car. The hosts are very much about family, teamwork, and sharing. Please note that you cannot expect for a hotel experience during your stay in the villa.
Optional activities in the summer months, from June to September, are kayaking and stand up paddle boarding for hire from one of the local beaches, which is proving to be very popular. You may also try beach walking or walk to the Cap D'Or, an eight-kilometer walk to and from the villa with spectacular views.
You will need a reasonable level of fitness to climb the last one kilometer up the mountain path to the top. A drink at the beach café after the descent is the most popular activity to do after and before returning back into town.
Mini treatments are available locally in Moraira by appointment. For those who wish to have a treatment, to avoid disappointment, it is strongly suggested that you will book at the beginning of the holiday as the studio gets very busy. There are too many treatments to list here with special offers and some prices change weekly. Yoga Retreats Spain will direct you to the studio which is just a short walk from the villa.
Please book your flight to arrive at Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC). Continue your journey to the venue by other means of transportation.
There is a daily bus service from Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) to Moraira, but they do make stops and the journey may take up to two to two and a half hours from Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC).
First, you need to catch a taxi from the airport to the north end of Alicante about 25 minutes away. There, you will find the train service which calls at various towns along the coast, a picturesque and enjoyable journey. The trains run about every 30 minutes and are usually on time. Like buses, the journey may take up to three to three and a half hours from Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC), depending on the change at Benidorm, which will give you plenty of time to relax and read a book.
