During this retreat, you will be staying in a family-run hosted villa with a sun terrace and pool, set a short walk from Moraira and the beach. The villa offers separate guest accommodations with a sitting room, dining area, and guest kitchen for making drinks and snacks.

Depending on the rooms booked, there are choices of single, twin with private use showers, or double rooms with en-suite. If you book a shared room, you will also share a bath or shower room. You may only book a shared room if you have a friend or partner who will come to the retreat with you.

Please note that currently, there is an intermittent building work adjacent to the retreat. You may hear some noise from the construction.

Yoga Retreats Spain Yoga Holiday Program

Yoga Retreats Spain's main goal is to have you leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated from the retreat. There will be 10 morning Hatha yoga sessions that will be held outdoors on the beach or on the terrace as much as possible.

Health benefits of yoga

During the retreat, you will be exploring the great benefits of yoga to your health. Studies have shown that activities such as yoga are the best ways to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and relieve symptoms such as insomnia, depression, and anxiety. Yoga also helps to improve overall fitness, strength, and flexibility.

Natural healthy food

Your stay is based on a full board basis with all meals freshly prepared each day from food often bought at the local markets. Yoga Retreats Spain tries to cater all dietary needs, just let them know before you arrive.

All guests are encouraged to join the optional morning walk activity during the retreat. It is the perfect opportunity for you to enjoy the fabulous scenery, the sea, and fresh air. The length and difficulty of the walk will depend upon the total number of guests and their fitness level.


Anahita Csurilla
Anahita Csurilla qualified as a Hatha yoga teacher from Sivananda Yoga centre Budapest in 2010. Anahita has a master's degree in the Prana Nadi Method of natural healing and a level 4 master of competence since 2012. She has also attended Matra University of Alternative Science from 2009 to 2011 in Hungary. She also studied other forms of yoga including Vinyasa flow. Her Hatha yoga style is becoming more influenced by Therapy yoga and in her classes and workshops, she pays attention to the individual needs of her students, the chakras, and the health giving benefits with renewed energy flow.

Retreat location

The retreat will be held in in Moraira, a beautiful port and marina town which is also known as the jewel of Costa Blanca, Spain. The town itself is relatively quiet, with tree-lined streets and unhurried air, perfect for relaxation. Yoga Retreats Spain is located in a quiet side street and just a short stroll away to the town and beach. Located by the sea and close to natural parks and woodland, Yoga Retreats Spain's location is perfect for exploring.

The coastline is stunning with azure blue sea and a back drop of orange groves and grape vines. The town beach has been awarded the prestigious EU Blue Flag classification, denoting its excellent facilities and cleanliness. There is a beautiful coastal path which stretches almost all the way to Calpe, perfect for a beautiful morning walk and a fabulous way to start the day.

During the holiday, a variety of traditional home cooked food will be served daily and freshly prepared by the hosts. The daily meals may consist of salmon, chicken, beef mince, pasta, or rice, along with fresh vegetables and salads or a vegetarian option. There is only one daily meal option but the hosts will always consult with everyone upon arrival about their favorite foods and cook accordingly, to suit everyone in the small group.

Groups may vary and you may be the only guest. The host will keep any single guest company, should they wish, or respect their privacy for those who wish for some time alone. Dinner usually consists of two courses, including a dessert. Yoga Retreat Spain will try to accommodate your dietary needs, likes, and dislikes. Vegan options, however, are regrettably cannot be accommodated.

Breakfast is a "help yourself" at a time to suit each guest. This may consist of cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, toast, and a choice of herbal teas and coffee. Drinking water is provided. Yoga Retreats Spain only asks for you to wash your own dishes after breakfast as it can be taken at any time to suit each guest.

Yoga Retreats Spain respectfully asks you to wash up and tidy after eating or preparing any snacks, drinks, or any items of food you may have purchased during your stay, everyday. This is to help keep the guest kitchen tidy at all times, out of respect for others.

After all other meals, the crockery will be taken away by the villa hosts for cleaning. This enables the hosts and you to coordinate as a team, in order to move quickly together to the next activity, either by walking or by car. The hosts are very much about family, teamwork, and sharing. Please note that you cannot expect for a hotel experience during your stay in the villa.

Things to do (optional)

Optional activities in the summer months from June to September are kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding for hire from one of the local beaches, which is proving to be very popular. You may also try beach walking or a walk to the Cap D'Or, an eight-kilometer walk to and from the villa with spectacular views.

You will need a reasonable level of fitness to climb the last one kilometer up the mountain path to the top. A drink at the beach café after the descent is the most popular activity to do after and before returning back into town.

Spa treatments

Mini treatments are available locally in Moraira by appointment. For those who wish to have a treatment, to avoid disappointment, it is strongly suggested for you to book at the beginning of your holiday as the studio gets very busy. There are too many treatments to list here with special offers and some prices change weekly. Yoga Retreats Spain will direct you to the studio which is just a short walk from the villa.
