The accommodation and activities are arranged at Jardin Mariposa. This marvelous villa lies in Tenerife, one of the seven fortunate islands of the Atlantic Ocean. The rooms are available on a single, double, or twin share basis, depending on the option you choose. If you want to share and join the retreat without company, you will paired in a room with another participant of the same gender.

A number of yoga classes will be held for all levels as a part of the program. Yoga philosophy will be discussed in groups, during which two out of the eight limbs of yoga will be discussed. You will also learn a lot of practical aspects that you could apply in your daily life, such as yamas and niyamas, the ethic codes for a yoga practitioner.

    Raquel started to play and practice yoga and contemporary dance at an early age, but it was not until 2012 when she realized the power and influence that yoga has. Yoga has totally changed her life, has empowering her to be happier, trust in herself and follow her dreams until becoming reality, and that is what she wants to transmit to her students in each class. Yoga is more than exercise and breathing techniques.

  • Donata Medina

    Donata is an Ayurveda specialist who will introduce Ayurveda principles during the retreat, and will teach how to cook according to Ayurveda food philosophy.

The retreat takes place at Jardin Mariposa, Tenerife, Spain. Tenerife is one of the fortunate seven islands located in the Atlantic. Because of their location, the islands have a very pleasant temperature throughout the year, so they are known also as the islands of eternal spring. It is a well known destination for European citizens who usually come, all year around, to enjoy the sun, beaches, bush walks, and water sports which they cannot enjoy in the northland.

The Butterfly Garden of Jardin Mariposa is situated in an idyllic and secluded location on the cliffs in the fertile north of Tenerife. It is an oasis of peace and power offering a stunning panorama of the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean and the fascinating mountains of Pico del Teide, Spain’s highest mountain. It is a place for those who are open for a vital experience with themselves and with others. There is space for silence and retreat, as well as for inspiring encounters and deep sharing.

Two meals are provided each day. They comprise of vegetarian and healthy buffet for breakfast and dinner. Ayurvedic food and cooking classes are held in accordance with the inputs from Ayurveda specialist Donata Medina. Lunch has been dispensed so that your body can experience light detoxification during the retreat.
