During the retreat, you will be accommodated at Stanford Valley Guest Farm. The retreat venue is the ideal place to relax and unwind. All of the spacious and luxury bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Some have private balconies overlooking the stunning mountain range.

Stanford Valley Guest Farm nestles in the valley of the Klein Rivier, 10 kilometers outside Stanford village. They offer comfortable accommodation in 7 self-catering cottages (of which 2 are family cottages) and 10 large en-suite rooms. Enjoy the safe and peaceful haven, have an exhilarating swim in the large dam, or go hiking. Don’t be surprised if you startle a duiker or rhebok on the way! Enjoy the luxurious accommodation in 150-year-old thick walls, fireplaces, and reed ceilings. These double en-suite rooms retain the charming old style but offer modern conveniences, some with in- and outdoor showers and others with a large bathtub. Some verandas open onto the lawns of the werf, whilst others enjoy the wide vista of the mountains.

Justine Barnes
Yoga has been a part of Justine Barnes' life for the past 20 years and became her life in the last 10 years. She believes that yoga chooses her to become an instructor. She feels blessed and grateful to be able to live her life's purpose every day which is to inspire and guide others to rise to their true potential and be the best they can be in this lifetime. She completed her 200-hour Ashtanga and Vinyasa training in 2010 and is in the process of completing her 300-hour advanced training. She integrates breathing, meditation, Yin, and Restorative yoga into her classes.
Sharni Quinn
Sharni Quinn is the free-spirited owner and founder of 'Follow The Sun'. She has ten years of yoga teaching experience and is also an ILS life coach, author, wellness warehouse ambassador, and motivational speaker. Sharni continues to grow her "Follow The Sun Tribe" through hosting their specially designed corporate wellness program, women's wellness workshops, yoga classes, and one-on-one coaching sessions as well as 'Eat, Play, Yoga' journey holidays both locally and in exotic locations abroad, which she has been facilitating for the past five years.
Beverley Slauck
Beverley Slauck is a pharmacist, reflexologist, and yoga instructor. She grew up loving dancing and was always in her grandmother's yoga classes doing headstands and handstands. Her passion is teaching people how to improve overall health by incorporating healthy eating habits and yoga into their lives. She approaches everything in life with a positive attitude and a sense of humor. She loves seeing others benefiting from yoga and empowering their own lives and she hopes that her love for what she does comes through in her teaching.

Retreat location

Stanford Valley Guest Farm nestles in the valley of the Klein Rivier, 10 kilometers outside Stanford village. The 440 hectares of Stanford Valley Farm is situated on the eastern slopes of the Klein Rivier Valley. 250 hectares of the farm is part of a Nature Conservancy and is covered in a wide variety of fynbos - including a very rare Erica Shannonea. The water comes from a mountain spring at the back of the farm and feeds several dams. The farm is able to use this water for all its requirements without the need to add any chemicals.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Cape Town International Airport (CPT). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 30 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
