Who says yoga is not for foodies? Yoga & Pomodori offers you a unique glimpse into authentic Mediterranean lifestyle, all while rejuvenating your mind and soul with the benefits of yoga. The retreat combines the best of a yoga center, a spa, a school of Mediterranean cuisine, and a slow discovery of the villages, food and people of the little known and unspoiled Italian region, Abruzzo. In between yoga sessions, you can learn how to follow a Low Glycemic Index diet, and how to source and cook organic authentic Mediterranean food. Join the cooking classes and visit villages and farmers producing organic cheese, oil, wine, and honey.
Imagine yourself hanging upside down from a yoga hammock, right on the Adriatic or enjoying a massage while immersed in hot water, or trekking the Apennines in the footsteps of migrating shepherds, and buying seafood directly off a fishermans boat and turning it into a delicious local specialty with your own hands. Imagine all of that, and yet being only two hours away from la "Dolce Vita" of the Italian capital.
All ages are welcome as participants.
The guests of Yoga & Pomodori will stay in the peaceful heaven of Bagni Vittoria on the beautiful coast of Abruzzo, a stone's throw from the sea. The double rooms and the quadruple occupancy residences of Bagni Vittoria have wonderful sea views and private terrace.
The Telegraph, has voted Vasto, Abruzzo one of the top ten beach holidays in Europe. And you will find exceptional hospitality at the Bagni Vittoria B&B where seven rooms and apartments are a stones throw quite literally from the Adriatic waves.
Abruzzo is known as the Green Region of Europe thanks to its three national parks, a regional park and more than thirty natural reserves that protect more than a third of the region. A new national park is also emerging and will embrace all the beautiful Costa of Trabocchi, where Bagni Vittoria is lucky to be overlooking.
Every day, you can decide to explore the coast, where cliffs and large sandy beaches alternate or you can easily reach the nearby mountains where, in just 40 minutes, you can reach an altitude of 1620 meters and still have a stunning view of the sea.
The naturalistic beauties are just some of the treasures that surround the region. Throughout the year, in fact, you can experience ancient traditions that have been passed on for generations and still take place, during village celebrations. These celebrations are always a great moment to explore traditional cuisine specialties.
Hatha yoga classes will be running each morning and each evening. Unnata Aerial yoga classes will take place on the beach every evening. Classes will be taught in English, but the team of instructors is very international and spans from Argentina to Korea.
In September, in addition to making pasta, we will learn how to make strained tomatoes and preserve seasonal vegetables, we will learn how honey is harvested and join grape harvest festivals and wine tasting.

"The retreat was an amazing experience. Although I'm Italian, I discovered awesome places, I ate delicious local food that I had never tried before. Even if I'm a beginner, I loved the Yoga Lessons and by the end of the week I was able to do inversions even in aerial yoga. I found all the staff very professional. I will recommend this retreat to anyone. Such a special vacation!"

"The Y&P for foodies retreat was fabulous. For me practicing yoga in unique ancient places was the highlight of the retreat. I even got to try aerial yoga outdoor, right by the seaside. The food was superb, authentic, carefully selected and super local. If this were not enough, we also made home made pasta and the traditional tomato "conserva" guided by amazing local people and by their passion for their jobs and traditions."

"Hard to describe in a short message the delightful experience we had at Yoga & Pomodori. The yogis we met were lovely and patient with us. The locations chosen for the yoga lessons were so inspiring!. This unique experience was supported by a wide variety of excursions, which gave us an opportunity to discover the extremely friendly and proud people of this hidden Italian gem that is Abruzzo. We could feel the PASSION that persons can still put in their job and their life: a passion found in the farmers we met, the chefs we had the pleasure to dine with, the exceptional wine producers we visited, the young and skilled archeologists that supported our visits, or the 'bike explorers' that, thanks to a mountain-bike with a little trick (an electrical engine support) made me finally ride again after too many years... Every single moment at the retreat venue and in the region has been an unforgettable gift, shared with special persons. We have nothing more than saying thank you, thank you to everybody but more than all to Fiorella, the real 'mastermind' behind this all. Such a very special person she is! If everything was perfect, every moment so unique, every person so exquisite, this all was by far thanks to that brilliant mind and special soul... Once more thank you Fiorella: you made of our holiday an unforgettable experience!"

"The Yoga & Pomodori retreat was absolutely fantastic - the perfect combination of a healthy, cultural, and foodie holiday experience. The Bed and Breakfast of Bagni Vittoria, where we stayed throughout the retreat, has stunning beachfront views and is very comfortable, and Luigi and his team are great fun and super accommodating. The food was delicious and used fresh, local ingredients and produce - we were able to sample all the best of Abruzzo's cuisine almost everywhere we ate, with different foods for different palates. The food was also part of the cultural tourism portion of the retreat, with visits to wineries, honey farms, and so on, in addition to archaeological and historical tours. In terms of the yoga classes, there was something for all style preferences, and the instructors were great at instructing people with varying levels of experience. The yoga class venues varies- by the sea, at the mountains, next to the castles or ancient ruins were truly inspiring! We got to do outdoor aerial yoga, which was incredible!I have to acknowledge Fiorella, the organizer, who is just an absolute star - her knowledge about and passion for Abruzzo and for yoga truly made the trip what it was. She was flexible and accommodating to people's needs, and created an environment where everyone - not just the guests - felt relaxed and like part of one awesome, multicultural family. Such a memorable experience, and I definitely hope to do it again next year!"
