Give yourself something to look forward to after the New Year blues with a rejuvenating yoga weekend in the heart of the Lake District. This yoga weekend is set on a beautiful farm in Grasmere and thoughtfully designed to give you a good dose of energizing yoga practice. You will have enough ‘me’ time so you will leave the weekend feeling inspired and rested.
All ages are welcome as participants.
The venue, Grasmere Hotel, has been lovingly restored to provide all the mod-cons including a sauna and a yoga studio. A modern sauna is available for guests to use free of charge. For your stay, all rooms will be based on four sharing with all guest rooms including an en-suite and additional communal showers to ensure no queues.
This retreat will take place at Grasmere Hotel located in Cumbria, England. This is situated in the very heart of the Lake District National Park. Broadrayne is a traditional Lakeland Farm with a small cluster of former 17th century farm buildings nestling round a picturesque farmyard in the beautiful Vale of Grasmere.
There are instant access to several inspiring mountain and valley as well as the famous coast to coast route passes through the farm’s land. The picturesque village of Grasmere is a short stroll away and there is a traditional Lakeland Inn just 400 yards down the road.
The weekend will be based around both Ashtanga and Jivamukti yoga practices. Whether you’ve practiced for years or very little, the sessions will accommodate all levels with modifications and adjustments offered to suit your needs in a personal and supportive manner.
Using their experiences, Teresa and Kevin will be offering guidance on how you can introduce a home yoga practice that complements your lifestyle and commitments, alongside tailoring a practice to suit your body’s needs.
The program of this retreat encompasses all yoga and pranayama classes, including a themed yoga practice on Saturday and Sunday morning. Teresa and Kevin will be on-hand throughout the weekend so students can chat about any specific yoga / meditation queries they have.
You may take Stagecoach buses that operate from Windermere rail station. The 555 service will drop you off nearly at the farm's door. The 556 and 599 will terminate in Grasmere village.
There is a main line service from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Edinburgh to Oxenholme (the Lake District) with connecting services to Windermere.
Please bring along bath and hand towels, toiletries, swimwear (if you want to use the sauna), walking boots, warm waterproof jacket, and yoga clothes.

An optional two-hour guided walk will be held on Saturday afternoon around the breathtaking Grasmere fells.
Yoga came into Teresa's life 14 years ago. At that time, she has had 3 children was a stay at home mother. After searching for a strong fitness regime, she could fit in with raising a young family.

The weekend is on a full-board basis with nutritious homemade vegetarian food provided alongside snacks and non-alcoholic drinks but you can bring your own wine.
You will have energizing breakfasts with fruit, muesli, yogurts, and ‘proper’ coffee. Your lunch will be freshly made soups and salads with rustic bread while dinner will consist of hearty and healthy casseroles and dhal.
You can indulge yourself in quality food and drink at an extra cost from cozy traditional Lake District pubs and inns with roaring fires and fine ales to more formal fine dining restaurants or picture postcard cafes serving wonderful homemade cakes.
You can pamper yourself at a local spa to ease those walking muscles at an extra cost.
