If you want to learn more about your body and yoga practice, meditate, relax, dance, meet new people, and eat delicious foods next to the beautiful beach in Goa, then this retreat is perfect for you! During this retreat, you will be staying at Bamboo Yoga Retreat. Each bungalow beach hut at Bamboo Yoga Retreat Goa has one double or two single beds with comfortable European style mattresses, good linens and mosquito netting. It sets in a spacious airy room with plenty of space to hang your clothes and store your belongings.
The accommodation includes attached bathrooms with western style toilets, which are open to the sky for the magical experience of showering under the stars. All of the bungalows have beautiful natural panoramas views / sea view overlooking Patnem beach, and you can choose between a beachfront sunset bungalow, an ocean mountain bungalow, or an ocean temple bungalow. In addition, the facilities also include regular housekeeping service and free Wi-Fi in the lounge area.
All levels of participants are welcomed. However, for the daily physical practice, the group will be split into two smaller groups: basic and advanced. All activities are optional, if you prefer to take a day off and just relax on the beach instead of doing yoga that is fine.
Jennie fell in love with yoga in 1999 and has been teaching since 2005. Following her fascination for yoga, she has completed numerous teacher trainings and workshops of different styles and approaches over the years, including Anusara yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Virya yoga, Vinyasa flow, Yin yoga, meditation, pranayama, Ayurvedic yoga massage, nutrition and anatomy.
Melanie has been practicing and teaching yoga since 1993. Her expertise is in Ashtanga yoga, but she also is studying other styles such as Iyengar and Scaravelli. She is currently coaching the morning Ashtanga self-practice at The Life Center in Islington and running an annual yoga teacher training at Zolder Studio in North London. She also runs an annual intensive yoga at Bristol City Yoga. Moreover, starting from the end of 2016, she will be teaching a level II teacher training in London, as well as annual yoga workshops, retreats and holidays in the UK, Europe, Thailand and Goa.
Josefin discovered the happiness and freedom in yoga practice and saw the effects of yoga in people from all different paths of life, then she decided to start teaching yoga in 2005. She is studying yoga as a therapy with the Iyengar yoga method. Living in Mysore Karnataka for many years, she has deepened her understanding of the Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga system. Josefin is also teaching Bollywood style and movement therapy to spread the happiness and freedom this dance has to offer in prisons and schools in Sweden.
Stuart is the founder of Love Yoga Anatomy. He is also a bodyworker specializing in the treatment of yogis with injuries or tension patterns. He has practiced Ashtanga yoga for 10 years and now he teaches anatomy and physiology on yoga teacher training programs.
