This Yoga Teacher Training program will be the foundational stone in your journey to advance your Yoga practice and to feel acquainted with different layers of Yoga & Science. During this yoga teacher training course, you will be staying in bright and clean rooms where you can relax, sleep, and make yourself feel comfortable. Clean bed sheets, blankets, and pillows will be provided. Your classes are located at the same building as your accommodations, so teachers are easily accessible to you throughout the day. You can chose between single or shared accommodation.
The aim of this teacher training course is to create a solid basis for you, in order to help you pursue a career as a certified yoga teacher. The training focuses on quality in all aspects, ranging from accommodation, a healthy diet, and the team of experienced teachers.
The program is also suitable for anyone who is not aiming to become a teacher but wishes to fully go into the path of yoga. It is a very beneficial course for self-healing, growth and gaining optimum health.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including the 100 asanas, the five basic meditation techniques, three types of pranayamas, shatkarma, body alignment techniques, how to teach individual and group sessions, yoga business ethics, setting up a yoga school, holistic approach to learning therapeutic yoga teaching, and many others.
The main aim of this course is to teach physical and spiritual practices that lay down the foundation to become a well rounded and successful yoga teacher. The main seven modules of the course include yoga asana with adjustment, shatkarma, meditation, pranayama, yogic philosophy, anatomy and emotional blockage™ treatment.
Classes are held Mondays to Saturdays from 06:00 to 19:00. On Sundays, you can join the group for some fun excursions around Rishikesh.
Yogic postures comprise four hours of the daily schedule. You will be introduced to the various asanas in a systematic manner with progressively increasing level of difficulty. Once the basics are mastered, asana flows, adjustments and subtle aspects of breath & awareness will be brought into focus. During the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training you will:
You will learn how to adjust asanas and understand how adjustment can deepen your practice. You will cover their benefits, modifications and cautions. We use different props such as bolsters, belts, pillows and blocks to maximize the effect.
You will learn techniques to work with vital energy centers in the body with a goal of becoming proficient enough to teach these skills to your students.
Yogic cleansing practices will be integrated into the daily morning schedule and will work in conjunction with the asana practices.
You will cover a range of meditation techniques that will help build concentration and focus in your daily practice. Techniques include Om chanting, Chakra and Power of Transformation meditation.
A range of mantras will be taught including the Gayatri Mantra and many more. Find your inner harmony in these sessions.
You will learn anatomy and physiology relevant to yoga in order to strengthen the classroom explanations, cues, and corrections of asanas. During this 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, you will cover:

Emotional Blockage™ Treatment is a sacred healing therapy taught at Yoga India Foundation yoga ashram only. Through pressing certain points in your body, accumulated energy blockages are removed and the energy can flow at its maximum again. Accumulated energy blockages result in depression, anxiety and various physical and mental diseases.
This module will help you to free yourself from past pain and repetitive negative thoughts. You will also learn how to give this treatment to others. Yoga India Foundation believes that a clear mind and healthy body are the foundation of a happy and peaceful life.
Yoga India Foundation has a partnership with Pankh- the Creativity School, a school for slum children in Rishikesh. The school provides free education to the children. The YIF Yoga Teacher Training students get to create fun yoga workshops for the kids and teach them the secrets of yoga as part of their training program.
Swami Ji has been teaching and guiding spiritual seekers and yoga aspirants for the past decades. He is the founder of Yoga India Foundation in Rishikesh and introduces his rare meditation and healing therapies to his students from all over the world.
Vipul holds doctor’s degree in yoga science. He has two master degrees– one in yoga philosophy and one in Sanskrit (-the ancient language of yoga). He has also done Post Graduate Diploma in yoga and holistic health. Vipul has deep knowledge about ayurveda and yogic therapeutic system. Vipul has written two dissertations about yoga. he has been invited two times in international yoga conference and many times in national seminars in India. His many research papers about yoga and culture have been published in some famous yoga magazines.
Dhammo studied English and Arts, Photography and Administrations. At Yoga India Foundation, he is responsible for the management and organization of courses, classes and overall well-being of the students. All students love his calm and bright nature.
Nishi loves to share her wisdom about asana and pranayama. She teaches how to integrate eastern practise with the western mind, body and lifestyle. Her classes are interactive and eye-opening. She taught yoga in various countries already and lives the complete yogi lifestyle.
Yogi Manish learnt yoga asana, pranayama, alignment, shatkarma and philosophy at the Bihaar School of Yoga. He is a very precise, exact and corrective teacher who challenges his students and puts them at ease at the same time. He introduces various alignment techniques and gives inspirational tips for new yoga teachers.

The food provided during the course is based on a healthy yogic and sattvic dietary plan, three times a day; brunch, fruit snacks and dinner. You will receive two vegetarian or vegan meals per day that are deliciously and freshly prepared, plus 1 fruit meal.

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), from where you can take a domestic flight to Jolly Grant Airport Dheradun (DED). The price of the ticket ranges depending on when you book it, but it’s usually around 70 USD. Upon arrival, you can use a complimentary taxi ride that takes you from Dheradun airport to Yoga India Foundation, in Tapovan, Rishikesh.
Alternatively, you can also hire a private car to take you from Delhi to Rishikesh (6-7 hour ride). The cost is 75 USD. Yoga India Foundation will be pleased to organize a safe taxi for you. The taxi driver will hold a sign with your Name up at your arrival Gate in Delhi.
The Volvo buses from Delhi to Rishikesh stop running around 21:00. If your plane arrives in Delhi in the evening, you will have to get a hotel for the night and then make your way to Delhi ISBT (inter-state bus terminus) in the morning. From the airport, you can get a prepaid taxi to take you to Delhi ISBT. The price from the Delhi airport to Delhi ISBT will be 500 INR.
Once you arrive at Delhi ISBT, navigate your way to the bus station’s ticket stands, on the second level (go up the escalator). Go to the Uttarakhand State booth and ask when the next Volvo bus will be leaving for Rishikesh. The bus ticket approximately costs between 300 to 400 INR.
Once you arrive at Rishikesh bus station, find an auto rickshaw (tuk tuk) to take you to Laxman Jhula Bridge. From there, it is only a two-minute walk to Yoga India Foundation.
