8 Days Meditation and Yoga Retreat in India

Himalaya Yoga Retreat India

Join Haridwar Ashram yoga and meditation and healing retreat on banks of Ganga in 2017 This meditation and yoga retreat will be based on the grounds of the famous guru Swami Keshabananda who was in the book Autobiography of a Yogi. You will step into the area where he used to meditate. The ashes of Lahiri Mahasayaare are also there. Definitely, the retreat will be very contemplative with a deep releasing healing practice to be done at the banks of Ganga on the foothills of Himalaya. There will be morning yoga, meditation with excursions, and prayer on the banks of the Ganga.

Yoga I Am India Yoga Retreat Program

The arrival date will be on March 4, 2017, which is a Saturday. The formal retreat classes will then start on the next day. The day will start with an early morning yoga practice at 08:30 to 09:30 with an optional early morning meditation from 07:45 to 08:15 followed by a delicious tea and breakfast. All participants will have a daily morning and afternoon yoga session. The afternoon yoga is from 17:00 to 18:00, after the practice it will be followed by an evening meal. There will be a chanting activity by the fire around 19:30 and also an evening yoga or meditation. The yoga will be held indoors, but if the weather permits, practicing at the beach is really possible. The program also includes daily silent walks.

Retreat location

Haridwar is a beautiful ancient city and an important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India's Uttarakhand state, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills.

All foods that will be served are sourced from the local farms. They will either be vegetarian or vegan meals.
