Accommodation

For nights one to three, you will be staying in Yoga Home Nepal. In today’s world, people are forgetting traditional beliefs, cultures, and their inner selves. The home stay is preserving the traditions of Nepal and would be honored to show it to everyone visiting. In the home stay, you will find a yoga hall, meditation area, Wi-Fi, several fruit trees, and a backyard garden. The accommodation has local laundry services and cooking classes.

Yoga Home Nepal is located in a village. There is not much traffic jam in the area and it offers a green and peaceful environment. The home stay is conveniently accessible and offers a 24-hour taxi service. You will be provided with a clean and comfortable room that has sheets, pillows, blankets, hot water, a bathroom, and a western toilet in triple, double and, single occupancy.

There are five rooms. Each room has two single beds and three of the rooms have attached bathrooms. The other two have shared bathrooms. Yoga Home Nepal has a 10-people capacity. Please inform Yoga Home Nepal if you would like to have a single room for an additional charge.

Yoga Home Nepal Yoga Retreat Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival day

You will check into Yoga Home Nepal. You will be served with some tea and local food upon your arrival. In the evening, you will be having your first yoga class. Enjoy your dinner and tea afterwards. Thereafter, you may retreat to your room to have some well-earned rest.

Day 2: Yoga, hiking, and walks

After having some tea, you shall have your morning yoga class. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before you go hiking through the jungle and waterfall. You will also visit Jalpa Devi Temple, Telkot, Kharipati, and Chhaling, taking about three to four hours. Return to Yoga Home Nepal and enjoy your lunch, pamper yourself, and get some rest. In the evening, you will have another yoga class. Then it is dinner, tea, and bed time.

Day 3: Yoga and meditation, hiking, and walks

Again, the day will begin by sipping on some invigorating tea followed by a morning yoga class. Later on, you will go hiking to Chhaling, Trisul Dada, and Telkot. Enjoy a jungle and village walk along Phedi. Have fun exploring those parts of Nepal in three to four hours.

Return to Yoga Home Nepal to have your lunch, get served with tea, and rest throughout the afternoon. Have another drink before going to your evening yoga class with meditation. Enjoy your dinner and tea. After that, you may call it a night.

Day 4: Departure day

Tea will be served to you in the morning, and after that, you will be having a morning yoga class. Enjoy your breakfast, then rest in your accommodations. You will be served lunch and tea before checking out.

Included excursions

You will have hiking and walking activities throughout your retreat. On day two, you will visit Jalpa Devi Temple, Telkot, Kharipati, and Chhaling. On the third day, you will have fun in Chhaling, Trisul Dada, Telkot, and Phedi village. The beautiful location allows you to explore the lovely gardens, jungle, waterfall, and other locations. Nature-lovers will enjoy watching birds and other wild animals.

You can easily go for a walk in the mountains and rivers and learn the names of the plants and animals. Discover Ayurvedic herbs growing at your feet and learn how to use them. You may also have see mountain view and trekking excursions along the valley.

Retreat location

This retreat will take place in Nagarkot Village, Kathmandu, Nepal. The home stay is located in Nepal, in the village of Nagarkot, a small town situated in the beautiful Kathmandu Valley, just 22 kilometers from the airport. Nagarkot is also just four kilometers from the world heritage site in Bhaktapur. A mini mart, general store, restaurant, medical store, and barber shop are all with four kilometers from Yoga Home.

There is also a sauna facility that takes a 30-minute walk. A 10-kilometer drive takes you to the peak of the hills, which is famous for its sunrise and sunset views as well as the snow-capped Himalayas. In Kathmandu Valley, you will be exploring Muhan Pokhari, Trisul Dada, Telkot, Bageshwori, Kharipati in Chhaling, and Phedi Village.

Nepal

Nagarkot

There are many places around Kathmandu to see great mountain views and natural beauty. Nagarkot is one of them. Nagarkot, an internationally renowned resort set on the edge of the Kathmandu Valley and close to the city of Devotees, Bhaktapur, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful areas of the country.

It lies at an altitude of 2,150 and is located 32 kilometers northeast of Kathmandu. As it is located on high hills, it has a very clean environment with its natural resources and it is covered with forests. It is renowned for its spectacular sunrise and sunset view of the Himalaya when the weather is clear.

Food

During this retreat, your daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided by Yoga Home Nepal. The homestay strives to provide nourishing, clean, and tasty vegetarian food. The homestay gets about 75% of its food, depending on the season, directly from their organic farm. The food is prepared in traditional Nepalese fashion with a wood fire on an earthen stove. Tea will also be constantly served throughout your stay.

There is also unlimited purified water. At the homestay, you can also enjoy all the fruits available, ripe from their own trees. Three meals a day of freshly cooked vegetarian food are provided in the dining area overlooking the mountains to the north. The kitchen will accommodate any special dietary needs. If you wish to learn how to make the food, you are always welcome to assist in the kitchen.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

Arrival by bus

The bus ride will take about an hour and 30 minutes. From the airport, go to main road. On the left side, there is a bus stop. Ask for Kamalbinayak, which is last bus station in Bhaktapur. It takes one hour from Kathmandu. Ask for Nagarkot bus stop, a one-minute walking distance from Kamalbinayak. There are two buses you can take, one is Nagarkot and the other is Telkot.

You can choose any because the Nagarkot bus comes from Telkot. From Nagarkot bus stand to Kharipati, tell the driver that you have to go Kharipati. When you are in Kharipati, you can ask anybody for Yoga Homestay. The home is in a small town near a police station.

Arrival by taxi

It takes 45 minutes to one hour from the airport when you travel by cab. Tell the taxi driver to go Nagarkot Road, four kilometers from Kamalbinayak, Bhaktapur. When you reach Kharipati, cross the police station around 500 meters or ask any shopkeeper. You may also call Yoga Home Nepal's phone or mobile number.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 15% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
