Byron Bay yoga retreats set the scene for a peaceful, timeless state of being. You will be staying in private cabins set in natural bush sanctuary right next to the beach where you will begin your wonderful week away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The retreat will transform you combining daily yoga and meditation, yoga Nidra for deep relaxation, organic vegetarian meals and fresh juices to cleanse your body, inspirational talks, massages, and healing treatments.
The accommodation is self-contained modern cottages, with full kitchen, air conditioning, queen size bed, living area, television, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Single and twin share are available. You can choose a superior cottage with full kitchen or standard cottages with kitchenette. There are also the choices of a budget accommodation family cabin, pool cabin, and the beach shack, which is within a short distance of walk to the amenities.
Allowing time out for yourself from a busy lifestyle for a few days without stress or external responsibilities, as well as reducing coffee, sugar, and alcohol can provide a cleansing and rejuvenating experience. The retreat program is designed to come together for renewal and rejuvenation, while enjoying a holiday atmosphere.
There is plenty of free time to relax with a choice of bike riding along the cane fields, ocean or pool swimming, in-house holistic treatments, remedial, lymphatic, kahuna massages, Reiki, intuitive readings, and more available on request.
The afternoons are for re-balancing from the activities of the day. It is a time for inner reflection with a focus more on restorative and relaxation practice, often incorporating a yoga Nidra (deep relaxation). Personal attention is given to those with previous injuries with modifications given and props to assist in certain poses.
Restorative yoga is very beneficial for healing the effects of chronic stress when practiced regularly. A 10-minute savasana (relaxation pose) is given after every class.
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Yoga)
Is a senior qualified yoga instructor who has been practicing for over 26 years and teaching for 16 years. Sue is registered with Yoga Alliance at the highest level, E-RYT 500. She has studied Iyengar yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Restorative yoga, yoga Nidra, yoga therapy, and Partner yoga. She furthered her studies travelling to India, studying Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga to deepen her knowledge of yoga asanas, pranayama, Ayurveda, and yoga philosophy.
Peter, a senior yoga teacher, has always been passionate and enthusiastic about health. He was introduced to yoga by his wife, Dhanashri, in the mid 1990s. What began as a novel way to stretch the body after an intense body building session became a life altering experience. He has been practising yoga since then and commenced teaching yoga six years ago. Peter has done his 300-hour advanced Yin yoga teacher training with Paul Grilley. He is also a certified 200-hour Purna yoga teacher. Additionally, he has also obtained the certificate 111 fitness.
Raphael Benn is highly qualified myotherapist with a large range of experience. He offers remedial, relaxation, and signature treatments, worked in award winning spas, and has been supporting guests to achieve their lifestyle goals within the structure of the variety of programs offered. Raphael applies professional myo therapy and assessments to clients identifying and treating musculoskeletal complaints. He has the ability to listen and assess each guest being patient, caring, and aware.

For this retreat, delicious vegetarian meals are provided each day and all dietary requirements are catered for. Snacks and lunch will be available on request for those who arrive earlier on the day of arrival.
